Fair enough but what if she's going out drinking every night and leaving her parents or someone to take care of her kids? How old are these kids? Shouldn't this woman be putting her kids before her party lifestyle and why is it that so many of these young girls are going around getting pregnant and then expecting other people to look after their children? |

To me it seems making children is a 2 persons job. So is raising them. So in defense of women I'd say if the other party (the man) is not there to take care of the kids (even when they are separated) someone else can do the job so the woman can have some relief too. Hanging with friends, drinking whatever. I can't find a law that says: if you're a woman with kids your sole purpose is to take care of your kids. You've got to live too. Your kids will also benefit from that.
As with anything, overdoing it is never good. But that's not the general thought here. |

There's nothing in the OP about someone going for the ocasional night out. I don't care what the "general thought" is. If the question is, "Is it alright to have a night off ocasionally?" then it's a dull and uninteresting topic.
The question is about going out and drinking when you have kids. What's "overdoing" it? What's acceptable and how much of a "life" is a mother with responsibilities entitled to? Is it alright for her to take drugs? If not, how's that worse than getting drunk? |

I feel one's overdoing it when (parental) responsibilities move to 2nd place and partying is moving to the 1st spot. How much of a life? Just as much of a life as any other person on this globe. I mean, how much of a life is a man with children entitled to? If all is well the burden of raising children is shared between a father and a mother right? If not... well I guess something is wrong. To be honest. To me alcohol is simply legal drugs. So if you can do alcohol why not do something else. It's just the public opinion on 'other drugs' that will give you a label. |

is it ok if a woman go out her friends and having fun even if they have kids but no husband ??? if you get an older man he will be sick of the club scene and you could use him for a live in 'babysitter' for when the girls go tramp out. |

There is nothing wrong with finding a responsible sitter and making plans to go out with your friends for a night off. Its a good way to relieve built of stress which occurs from the day in day out of raising children. Everyone needs a break once in a while even parents. Date nights are needed for couples and singles gotta be able to cut loose and remember ones self and be "Insert name here" not just mom or Dad.

That's shite. You have kids and you can't have as much of a life as someone without kids because you now have responsibilities that you didn't have before.
Don't really want to get into the gender thing but I'm off down the pub. |

You guys must be reading something in the OP that I am missing. I didn't see where it mentioned going clubbing or "tramping out." Perhaps they did mean going clubbing, but they could have just meant a bar as well. |

Yeah and like I said, if the question is just, "Is it alright to have the ocasional night off?" it's a dull and uninteresting topic. Come on, I know that this is supposed to be an international site but who really wants to argue about that?
There are people though that think that it's alright to act like they don't have any responsibilities to their kids and that goes beyond just getting someone to babysit their kids when they want an ocasional night out. |

The OP didn't mention acting like they have no responsibility to their kids. But I guess that's you trying to cause drama. |
