Who Manages Money Better:Men Or Women? You don't worry your pretty little head about it and just go earn it mister. This....plus my ex wife would say, "You make it, I will budget it and then I will spend it. Maybe I will leave you some if you are a good boy." Sounds like a good woman. hahaha |

Good and bad money management has nothing to do with gender....There are countless elements involved making it impossible to qualify who does better and why...How we are raised, how we come by our money, needs, wants, experience(s), economy, maturity level, health, dependents, the list is endless!...Meg is exactly right...There are definitely certain traits that influence money management, but gender is not one of them.... |

Women are known to be good managers both at home and in workplaces. That is the opinion of some people, myself included. Many people disagree though. But do women REALLY manage and handle money wisely than men? Putting into consideration all the trival accesories they buy just to look good? Ha! My boyfriend buys more trivial things. I don't need a lot in life. |

But do women REALLY manage and handle money wisely than men? Putting into consideration all the trivial accessories they buy just to look good? I don't waste money trying to look good as I simply don't care anymore. My money is for paying bills, keeping my house maintained, and saving for retirement. Being a single income earner plus being raised from a poor family so I have learned how to be conservative with my money. For instance; I don't celebrate Christmas and don't buy presents which saves me a lot of money. |

i would say if the two of them had a whole lotta money ...
their broker is managing it quite well... and if they have a very little amount.... then it would be whichever one gets to the cookie-jar first.... |

Don't think there's really much difference. Stating that women buy trivial accessories and men don't, is biased. Plus, if you are a good manager, you know whether or not there's money to spend on 'trivial' things or not. It's typical of women to have oversight and organize, it's typical of men to focus. I guess that's what would make women good at management and men at bookkeeping? |

I don't want to make gender generalisations about this but I think that how someone manages money is a sign of how responsible and reliable they are. I've dated women that were hopeless at managing their money and were always getting into debt but I've also dated women that were very good at living within their means. There are a lot of single mothers out there and many of them have to work hard to buy their kids things that kids want because their friends have them. They often have to do that on a single income.
Speaking for myself, I'm not a particularly good organiser and if there's something that I want and I have the money, I'll buy it. I don't like getting into debt though and I keep my spending under control. I'm hardly the most responsible guy in the world but I'm not totally irresponsible I suppose. |
