I find there are many (!) Accounts that obviously have not been accessed since years... shouldn't the system/admins deactivate such to clean up the database & keep it more current - besides the scammers I find those abandonned
profiles somewhat annoying.

I think this site needs an overhaul... mine is full of inactive accounts in my area.. also I would like everyone to have a profile picture of themselves.. I just got viewed many times only one had a picture.. this is terrible.. needs to be fixed or I will close my account. Most of those that come through are black men... no offense but I'm white and I will never, ever go out with another race... we need filters for these things in a hurry... I'm getting very cranky. and I use all filters that exist for mail.. I Don't want these people viewing me, they are here just to stare and too chicken to show their faces

Its somewhat decieving yes. I gave up long ago looking in my area. Seems most are dead accounts

I'm not sure I can think of one dating site that I have joined that didn't have abandoned accounts. It's just part of being on these sites. I am willing to bet facebook and myspace have numerous accounts that aren't actually being used.

It's just a big waste of time...all of the accounts that are just out there with nobody home . I might do better going door to door !
