There are plenty of woman like me that enjoy off-road. I live on Long Island where you can go out on the beaches. I used to camp right on the ocean. Nothing better than pulling up and just unpacking your gear. My brother belongs to a group that gets together with hundreds of other off-roaders and yes there are plenty of woman in the group. Try to see if there is a group in your area. I am sure a man as good looking as you will have NO PROBLEM finding a woman with similar interests. Wish you lots of luck...

I do belong to a large group of fellow wheeling enthusiast's. We do get out about once a month locally, and take 2-3 cross country trips to meet up with other members from around the country. This is a passion of mine, and would really like to find a woman that feels the same way about it. Greedy? Hell yes! LOL

I prefer my off-roading to be on horseback. Quieter, less noisy, and a whole lot less damage to the environment. Plus you con go more interesting places!

Seriously? I prefer 300 HP to 1 HP myself. Noise dont bother me, and where I go, it wont bother anyone either.

What damage do you refer to? Do you own a car? Do you drive to work, store, etc...? What impact does the majority of the world have on the environment by driving on a paved road? What was there before the road?

I can go places your horse will never be able to go, and cover a whole lot more terrain at the same time. As far as more interesting, I doubt that as well. Can your horse climb 14,000 ft up a mountain trail, and back down in 4 hrs? Then do another for the next 4 hrs?

OK, does that sound like a pipe dream?
Does that sound possible?

Wow is this your life? Do you cowtip too? What would happen if she didn't like it? This is like saying you won't date someone cause their music taste is not the exact same as yours. How very high school. But I suppose in the middle of Bumble**** Nowhereville, you need a hobby. I guess if your 4 wheeler is more important than a woman, may you live happily ever after. Happy mudding.

The closest I get to off roading is the subway...and I never take the subway.

Right, to each there own.

Noise does bother me, especially a flat tone growling, that reeks of smoke and such. But when I'm out trail-riding or camping, I don't even bring a CD player.

I prefer to hear and see the wildlife, coyotes, deer, birds, hawks, lizards, and other critters out there. I also enjoy the smells of nature and sounds of nature, not my vehicle.

Yep, I do own a car, and I only use it when necessary. I also ride the horse to the local gas station/food store and grab a few things, if I need to. Shrugs. Works both ways for me.

Why would I want to do something in four hours? What would I get to see visually that would be done in four hours? Heck, I wander longer at the zoo, when I go.

14000 feet? Wouldn't be a big deal to him. It's not something we've done frequently, but on some trail rides, we've done mountain climbing. And usually carrying more weight then safe, but that's a whole other story. As far as a pissing contest over other places you or I can't go, very doubtful. I'm sure there's places we both can't go.

Right up my street. I have never been on a horse, they have no brakes, no reverse and no diff lock.
But I have done about 50,000 kms of dirt roads many very rocky ones and I have got stuck in the mud badly more than once. Repairing Land Rover is my profession. So. Yes, is there anything better to do than going out with a 4x4? Apart from having a break to take some great pictures on that mountain top?

EquusDancer, I know what you mean. I don't ride horses but know people who do. It is so peaceful to go out in a forest for a walk and it's quiet. 4x4's make so much noise and scare all the wildlife. You can hear it miles away. A 4x4 can't drive through the woods that are heavy with trees.
