Topic: What with no one want to talk on the phone/ | |

Talking on the phone is soooo 2002. I prefer only to talk after I know a little more about him. If I don't like his personality through text or email. Talking on the phone won't help. |

Talking on the phone is soooo 2002. You've got to roll your eyes when you say this! |

I think it's simply that we've grown up in an age where we're more familiar communicating via email or online that actually talking is really uncomfortable. I'm of the same way. I really struggle face-to-face sometimes too. In my head I know exactly what I want to say and I sound smart and funny, but it rarely comes out that way when I'm nervous... So, in answer to your question, it's probably lacking confidence in talking on the phone (as I do) and worried he'll ruin it by saying something stupid (just as I do).

I don't like talking on the phone initially either. Nor am I fond of just giving out my phone number to any random person. Kik, live... Sure... Phone and Skype... Maybe later. Guess those are just the modern day boundaries. You have to start somewhere and have a threshold to set when you know you've made a connection with someone. And hearing the voice of someone you met online... Is probably it.

A man talks on a telephone because he has something to say.
A woman talks on a telephone because she has to say something. |

A man talks on a telephone because he has something to say. A woman talks on a telephone because she has to say something. Ouch but some truth to this. |

Plenty of men simply don't like nonstop chattering. So, text messages and e-mail suit them better. Instead of assuming the worst about them, ask them why they dislike talking via telephone. yes and of course they will all just pipe up and say, "Well Mathilda I don;t like talking on the phone because my wife Bertha over there in the kitchen might hear that I am talking to another woman about sex and dating. And, frankly I am too much of a coward to end my relationship before cheating." defo soundsl like something a guy might say, right? |

I think a man if he already thinking women
talk to much than they really don't want a relationship they just want sex. And may be there thing a women don't really want to talk on the phone but I FEEL IT the only way you can make sure he or she is who they say they are. ps I HOPE THIS WAS NOT TO MANY WORDS FOR YOU MEN TO HANDLE. LOL |

I'm not giving out my # or email lol ill kik u or message u via mingle inbox. If I feel comfortable with after that then we can text and then as a last step we can talk. I'm too busy to be on the phone all the time and I assume these guys ur talking about are as well. Think of the texting and emailing as foreplay. Lol

Or, if you've got nothing to say, just don't bother. Nothing worse than a dead phone line. . I can assure you that not all men are like how you describe. The few I ended up with, all talked regularly to me over the phone. I think you have to keep the ball rolling while communicating. And spice it up a bit, from time to time. I mean, surely if you both have been chatting online for quite a while, you would WANT to get to hear his voice eventually. I know I would. It all depends on the amount of effort you put into it.
