Chambersburg, PA residents voted Mayor Pete Lagiovane (D) out of office on November 5th after he signed up to be part of former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns

According to Salena Zito on RealClearPolitics.com, the anti-gun influence of Bloomberg made Chambersburg hunters and gun owners feel like they were under attack. And the combination of Bloomberg and "Washington [trying to regulate] gun ownership with more background checks" caused Chambersburg residents "to react in the only respectful way they know: [by voting] out of office those who are infringing on their way of life."

Hopefully they vote out more in 2014.

No, I had my interview for unemployment on Friday and I should know tomorrow or Tuesday. If that doesn't go through I am officially screwed.

Illegal guns? The problem is in the definition and who determines that definition.

Illegal why? Because of model? Pistol grip? A magazine that holds more than 5 rounds? Stolen guns? Citizens own them?

What makes a gun illegal? The answer to some is that it merely exists.

I'm sure it was his support of bans that his voters thought went against their constitutional rights. In fact, that seems pretty obvious or they wouldn't have voted him out over it

The problem is,that ILLEGAL in that Context doesn't mean Guns held by Criminals!

Not sure what constitutes and "illegal" gun in their minds. I personally would like to see fewer guns in the hands of criminals, but people like Bloomberg just pass blanket policies that seem to effect more honest people than criminals. To remove a cancerous tumor one would want to use scalpel. Seems that Bloomberg would prefer a broadsword for the same job.

Again, what constitutes and "illegal" weapon is a perfectly reasonable question. As is questioning the methods in which one would attempt to go after these weapons.
