I would have described myself as a sweet, kind, GENTLE person with a warm heart! well, I got a very rude awakening last year
My guy friends said , Yes, you are sweet, kind and have a warm heart. However,You are not Gentle
What? .. They said," Tee, you are a Princess
You want what You want, WHEN You want it" and if you don't get it Watch out! I was going to deny it, but I looked at myself and my reaction to either being told to wait or having to wait.. and dang it, they were right, I'm not gentle at all I've accepted this about myself and have been working on myself. I still have Princess tendancies, but some of those aren't my fault! Im a work in process!

The Guy in the Glass

When you get what you want in your struggle for self,

And the world makes you King for a day,

Then go to the mirror and look at yourself,

And see what that guy has to say.



For it isn't your Father, or Mother, or Wife,

Who judgement upon you must pass.

The feller whose verdict counts most in your life

Is the guy staring back from the glass.



He's the feller to please, never mind all the rest,

For he's with you clear up to the end,

And you've passed your most dangerous, difficult test

If the guy in the glass is your friend.



You may be like Jack Horner and "chisel" a plum,

And think you're a wonderful guy,

But the man in the glass says you're only a bum

If you can't look him straight in the eye.



You can fool the whole world down the pathway of years,

And get pats on the back as you pass,

But your final reward will be heartaches and tears

If you've cheated the guy in the glass.

I really don't know if people evaluate me the way I evaluate myself.
The truth is I don't care if they do or not.
AS long as I go to bed with a clear conscious and I know I did my best ,that's all that matters.

@ Betty and that's my point of self eval. I went to sleep with a clear conscious as well.... Problem is my friends saw me as a princess and tip toed issues around me. What kind of friend is that to have? I had to re evaluate and made...still making changes.

If they pointed out something in you that you never saw before and you agree they are right that's great you are changing things. Good for you. You couldn't have been that bad though because they still want to be your friends.

I figure ten different people could have ten different views about me. At least one of them will see me the way I See myself lol

Think I have a pretty good idea of what and who I am. I also know not many see the whole picture. But that's not really my problem. It's also not always necessary for others to see the entire Crystal. Depends on the role you play within a setting or group.
I'm like a faceted gem, you can't see every aspect in one go (which is also my own choice). Well, most can't. I am looking for this one guy that can and does, and likes what he sees

I have a realistic view of myself. I own the good and bad in my person. I am pretty sure I'm my own worst critic. I know I'm far from perfect. There is probably a lot more wrong with me than right.

Thank you BettyB. I appreciate it. But I know my flaws they stick out like an exposed nail to me. I work on hammering those things out but it is a never ending process. Thats my way of improving myself. Don't worry though I know that even with all my flaws I'm still pretty damn awesome.

Having flaws is just being human. I think we would all be so boring if we didn't have them.. But you are right self improvement is an ongoing thing.

I dunno, I never ask anyone what they think about me, friends or otherwise.

Of course what they say to your face and behind your back are two totally different things.
