Giving out your number isn’t a bad idea..

Only after a meet and greet.....make sure the person is real and only if you see a possibility of it going further!!!

That’s nice and I would love to meet you one day

I give my cell and my gmail address. The reason I go ahead and do that is the following.
1) I have call blocking. So I can block unwanted numbers. 2) MY cell is also my business phone so it is easily found. 3) My gmail is a catch all email and again, its easily found. 4) I like to speak to a person to know I at least have a real person. A cell is how you can do that. Now, since you can get a text forwarding card for a cell, you can get alot of people that give you a cell that is just a number that forwards the text to a computer and then they send it back to you like a text. So that is not bullet proof. Just like putting the image they send you (or have on their profile) can tell you how widespread the image is via Google Images. Again, its not bulletproof. Most scammers get your cell to use for other scams. Same with your pictures. Same with your email So as long as you police these, you should be okay. Keep a fresh pic or snap a new one. Its easy enough these days. And as always, never send money to people you don't know. |

No I wouldn’t just give my number when asked nor I trust people who give their number right away. That is weird and not safe

Yes! My number is 42. Is that what you have in your bank account or the number of cats that you own? |

I used to have two phones One for dating The other personal It wasn’t practical using two phones so I just use one phone I’ve had numerous requests to take the conversation to a n app someone uses but I prefer texting and I stick to it If we aren’t compatible
the conversation gets deleted and sometimes blocked |

Sometimes its better to relax and not pressure anyone for any reason.....always believe some how some way what is yours will be yours one day

|

Apparently I give my number to Capital One....and boy....go one day over your due date and they call you. Sheesh!

Information can be shared more quickly and with less risk voice to voice.

it is very risky and 90% of those doing it are fake. i admit it could be a lot easier to communicate on phones but need to be very careful

Back when I met my gf we exchanged a few messages in M2 message system.
We asked pointed questions requiring specific answers concerning our town. We decided to meet and exchanged phone numbers, we talked once before we met. We met in person that same day. (She actually stood me up for our first meet, something came up and she couldn't make it but didn't have my number to call me) We've been together for a year and a half now. So far, working out fine. Like everything in life...Choose Wisely |
