My profile is 184 pages long and says NOTHING at all about "mail me" and I still get lots of mail. Mostly it stems from things I wrote in the forums though. It also helps a lot if you pretend to be sarcastic and cynical.
I think when you say stuff like "mail me," people just think "screw you, you're not my boss," so it's more of a disincentive. Or maybe it's just me. I know when somebody tries to get me to do something, I pretty much just do the opposite. |
