Topic: Diminish fine lines and wrinkles? | |
---|---|
I recently stopped using soap and instead have been using just water and olive oil to wash my body and face. I've only done it three times, and it seems like the fine lines and wrinkles I could see in my super close-up mirror are greatly diminished. amazing. I just wanted to share that. |

Well I don't use it on my body, but I know the ancient Egyptians and Hebrews used this as a beauty treatment and used olive oil along with scented oils and perfumes. It kept their skin very soft and supple and helped them retain their youthful appearance for longer than usual.

Doesn't your skin feel and look greasy? How do you get rid of body odors this way? After scrubbing my skin with a cloth that has some olive oil on it, I rinse it well in warm water. The oil has no odor. I don't have a problem with body odor. The feeling is not greasy because I wipe it off. It leaves the skin feeling very soft as if it has just been rubbed with lotion. If it does feel greasy, you need to rinse and wipe it some more. |

I haven't used soap in the shower (or shampoo either) for quite some time using just water instead as I feel neither are that good for the body in the form we know them. Funny thing too.....before I had this big brown patch on my legs when I was using soap......stopped using it and scrubbed it good, never came back. Funny no?
I may try this olive oil trick in addition to water.....wonder what it would do for hair as well, any thoughts there? Thanks for sharing in any case. |

I did try it in my hair, and it leaves my hair heavy and oily so I rinse it with vinegar water and it strips the oil out and leaves it soft and fluffy. I left the olive oil in my hair over night. Then rinse it the next day with vinegar water. |

I only use Olive Oil for cooking and drizzling over salads. If it was the other Olive Oyl, ask Popeye, i'm sure he could tell you a 1001 uses for that one?

Anything you put on your skin will be absorbed into your blood stream eventually. I have heard you should not put anything on your skin that you would not eat. |

My face does not have a lot of wrinkles but I have made a point to stay out of the sun most of my life. |
