Who's thankful for something today and what is it? I have seen some negative posts not just on here but other places as well as customers. So, who's got something positive to say?

I'm thankful for life, friends, family, contentment, my dog, that the birds are still singing, the sun is still shining, I'm healthy, and have everything I need.

I'll keep his username anonymous, because I respect him. I never saw it coming, but a forum member of Mingle reached out to me earlier, in an e-mail. I'm pleased that he wanted to do that, because he must really care, to do something like that. And I truly appreciate it, too. You may guess who all you want, but I'll never tell :)

I am thankful that Mingle still seems to be rocking along and seeing some diverse bright new faces. Glad to see some of the returning Vets popping in confident that this generation will well receive them as they return to the mainstream workforce.

I am thankful that the powers that be seem to have gotten the message rather quickly that that the shutdown was not the way to handle our current state of affairs. My sympathy to those that suffered for it. You won't be forgotten in future elections.

I am thankful that some who have suffered in the last year's terrible storms are making some headway and not being forgotten. While we have had some hardships seems like the weather wasn't as brutal this year. Hoping for a gentle winter. Hopefully American's will still be sympathetic and contribute where there is need. I am very encouraged by the number of volunteers that seem to be still showing up.

I am really thankful for some of the medical breakthroughs and the growing availability for preventive care to all Americans. I flinch at the growing pains but am hopeful the basic coverage will prevent great suffering and waste. I am very excited about advances in brain and cancer treatments and reduction in the costs of durable medical equipment and medications. I am excited the about the steps forward to prevent head injuries in sports and the emphasis on child nutrition. Glad to see the WIC program hasn't been quietly taken away. That Women's Health Clinics in Texas are keeping their doors open. Please to see less intervention of medical aid abroad. Relieved to see some of the massive refugee camps are not floundering yet. Hopefully people will remember Unicef and RedCross. I am really wowed by how Mother's and young women whom are Stepping forward with courage to assert their health and education rights in so many places.

I am really excited by some of the technology I am seeing become more available. Appears people are really applying APS to good uses such as protecting people from domestic violence, controlling diabetes, breaking down language barriers, making banking safer/ more affordable, and converting advertising/coupons from print to e-credit. I am not seeing a huge decline in cost of some devices but they don't seem to be increasing and I do see more opportunities for layaway and financing bringing the digital world to more people.

It has been kind of quiet but we are making strides in agriculture and food safety even though we have fewer inspectors. Biotagging seems to be making food producers less eager to get caught with their pants down. Like seeing more sugar substitutes being accepted and additional varieties of Lactose free products being used in traditional holiday foods.

I am really pleased to see fewer designer pets being touted reducing the demand for breeding mills. I was so pleased to see massive efforts to empty shelters of existing animals. Nice to see more Zoo's upgrading the quality of their habitats and recognizing that not every community can afford or can justify poor quality displays. I was personally very pleased with the recovery of the Bison as a national treasure.

Last but not least I am very grateful for friend, family, and fellow Mingler's that have helped me though the transition's in my family life. Those that helped me through my Dad's hospice were extraordinary. To all have a blessed holiday. Wishing you Hope, Peace, Health, and Joy.

oh and nice to see you back, I missed the
little fun insults she throws my way, they're funny:laughing:
I'm not talking mean because I don't like mean.
I'm thankful today to see sweetsgirl make an appearance.

Ps..and the French says "your not even supposed

I'm thankful for many things, simple things that many people might take for granted. Whenever you fall on hard times, someone somewhere has it worse. Be happy with what you have, and being on the sunny side of the grass is better than the root side

Nice post Jill, Thank you!

It'll sound corny, but I'm really glad I got active on these forums. I know exactly why I'm here, what it brings me (which is exactly what I need at this point in my life). So I'm very grateful for that! Not only the nice & friendly peepzz, but also the people one could consider to be @sses, It's the ones you like the least that bring you the most. (Yes, it hurts to admit that  )
And no, I ain't talking about a date or future hubby here.
