why is it so hard to find some one to be with that won't miss treat me
|

it's very difficult rebel...i've lived through anything you can think of from cheating on, lied too...money stolen so he can move in with another woman and left an eviction notice and physically and mentally abused

Well, sometimes the only thing you can do is try. I mean, It happens to both men and women. I have been used and cheated on myself, and it's really hard to trust someone after all that, but the only other option is to just give up.

Love is a sacrifice, which some and many refuse to give no matter the joy, no matter the rewards.

I wish I had the answers to that. Just be as smart as you can, use your head and get out at the first uncomfortable feeling.

Reb -- I think there are a lot of empty, shallow, self-absorbed people in the world....
But not everybody is like that.... Or so I keep telling myself.... |

Get a puppy!
He'll never mistreat you. |

I agree with Michelle. Trust your gut feelings and instincts. If something doesn't feel right inside, that's a red flag. Then again, you need to set your boundaries about what you will and will not accept.

I agree with the crazy guy with the bucket on his head. He's one smart dude.

He's also extremely humble and down to Earth. And lacking in ego.

I sure have missed that handsome boy with the silly bucket on his head. Where you been hiding?

I would tell you to take it really slow with whoever you meet and if they show any signs of being possessive or jealous, that those are real danger signs. Also, trust your gut instincts. Any kind of physical or emotional abuse should never be allowed or forgiven, no matter how "sorry" he is, it is a pattern and WILL be repeated.
Most of all - TRUST YOURSELF, YOUR INSTINCTS - if something doesn't feel right, believe it. You are a good person and deserve to be treated the right way. Never settle for someone just because you are lonely or bored. Hold out for the right one to come along, it may take some time to find him, but you are worth it and so is he. |

come to the dark side...i'll never treat you wrong

May I add to your comments, Marie?
People who have been abused in the past, can also display abused behaviours...like a 'wounded bird'...and the less than healthy people can spot it a mile away...it's like a 'fit'..as in jigsaw...abused and abuser... Work on you...heal you...move past 'abused' behaviours...then there will be no 'fit'... |
