Let's say a relative of mine wants some URGENT ADVICE?

That relative says that their MATE, whom they love and they DO, and will do ANYTHING for, (wash their car, cook, clean, worship them etc) is now telling them that their X mate is pleading with them for them to "DUMP me and go back with X"

My young relative is thinking?
"My Mate listened to all that pleading from their X??????
When did they listen to that? Was it on a date they had? How many dates have they had so far. Was it on the phone for hours while I was cooking, cleaning and washing car? Have they started having sex? If Mate has been with me for a couple of weeks and was with X for a couple of years, what are my chances of being dumped? SHOULD I NOW NOT DUMP MY MATE B4 MATE DUMPS ME OR SHOULD I START LOOKING FOR A NEXT MATE RIGHT AWAY? Or what should I do?

A was told by B that C is with B but is thinking D might be a better bet and is unsure who to be with...what should B do?

well...Your relative has no idea how severe the circumstances are. The mate's X might just be a friend from the past. Someone to share certain memories with, and the x is still clinging to those memories...trying to make new ones. Your relatives mate might have no idea what way she wants to go. She might be torn herself between the old and familiar, or the new and uncertain...Id tell your relative to stick it out alittle bit longer until she sees sure fire signs that its time to get out...until she's certain...

or maybe she is talking to the guy and wants to see his reaction because she is feeling unloved and if he doesnt give her the right reaction then she may as well go with the ex.

For starters what does doing chores have to do with how much the person cares??
B needs to be open & honest about whatz going on.
Sit C down & say what are you really feeling?
is C trying to decide who washes the car better?
They've only been together a couple of WEEKS & their living together & C is still talking to "D" then "C" needs to get on back where they came from..
Maybe when "C" is done with the last one they can get to know
B & take a lil time getting their head straight.

Simple...Grieving...tell your young friend to step back...and let his new partner figure him/herself out...it sounds like a rather sad and fragile situation for everyone but the new partner.

Nothing to do, but get on with being him/herself, and find someone without their ex lurking around still in the picture.
