The rhetoric between the Obama admin and Putin has really heated up in last two days. Putin told an international audience that Russia would be willing to join the fight against Assad through the Security Council if Obama can prove Assad's regime was responsible. In a separate public meeting, Putin said he watched the Congressional hearings and directly called Kerry a liar. He also stated that every time Russia has asked Obama for proof, they get the same answer, that it is classified. The State Dept fired back saying this wouldn't be the first time Putin used inflammatory language. Normally I wouldn't give Putin much credence, but after Fast n Furious, Benghazi, IRS, NSA and a few other scandals of lies, obstruction and unconstitutional endeavors, I might give Putin some credibility. Whoever you believe, we are all in big trouble when two powerful, egotistical narcissists have a pissing contest!

Putin would punch Obama in the face with that New England Patriots ring he stole. Putin would win that fight easily. All Obama has is failed politics/policies and a weirdo looking golf pose.

I have to laugh..every time you see Putin he is bare chested and riding a horse, or hunting, fishing and showing off his physique. Obama on the other hand is very slim and unimposing, playing mostly golf and a little one on one basketball. That would be a funny pic them standing side by side just in their briefs

It looks like, if we go in, we will spend billions of more dollars that we don't have. That is how Regan beat the USSR. He bankrupted them. We aren't far away.

Sadly, the problem is a serious one. It is a very serious problem. Toppling Assad puts Russian interests in jeopardy. The Russian Naval facility at Tartus serves as their Mediterranean base of operations. This isn't just about selling arms to Assad. This is viewed by Putin as an attempt to squeeze them out of the Middle East. Not to mention the fact that the same Sunni regimes that funded and supplied the Chechens during the two wars in the 90s are funding and supplying the rebels in Syria.
