Will said DPI "urged white students to wear white wristbands ’as a reminder about your (white) privilege.’"

DPI was responsible for a flier given to 13 federally paid workers that suggests white people consider wearing the white wristbands. But there is no evidence that DPI took any steps to urge students to wear the wristbands.

2 URGED

3 to wear white wristbands


the fliers did not go to students, but to 13 employees
the fliers didn't URGE anyone to do anything but listed one suggestion in a LIST of suggestions

one suggestion WAS wearing white wristbands


so, MOSTLY , the statement is false, the only truth is that there was mention of white wristbands to represent privilege
