one step was a challenge,one step was a feat
it took all i had just to get up on my feet.

every day I i tried again
with faith,perseverance, I would win

one step turned into two,two into four
before long I could walk out the door

out the door, down the hall
sit and rest on that wall

up again walk some more
this is my life im fighting for

walk to the pool,go for a swim
so i will be healthy and trim

my journey is not over,but i am well on my way
it started with one step,I walk 2 miles today

no stopping to rest,no out of breath, no lagging behind
lots of inner pride,and peace of mind
