laugh laugh SCK...is that in your infinite wisdom?

What has someone's sexual preferences got to do with anything really?

And how do you arrive at your statement, 'chicks with gay male friends don't do so well with regular guys'?

Was it you or your friends, didn't do so well with some chicks, and they happened to have gay male friends?? laugh

No its the chicks.
Gay men are passive and take orders well.
Women like that and tend to expect this from regular guys.

Or is it possible, that the stereotype of masculine has changed and women are responding to that?

I have quite a few male friends who are like bull sharks...strong, very masculine, capable of anything, and omg! they are gay! (said with tongue in cheek)they work in construction, thay play footy, they drink beer, they shoot pool, they surf, they also play guitar, cook, and clean, and do all these normal things PEOPLE do.

Gender and sexuality is irrelevant...lumping everyone in the same basket, depending on gender and sexuality is inappropriate I feel, and we create these separate groupings, for what purpose I have no idea.

No!
Women usually make mistakes with men.

Not that gays can,t continue to do whatever they do!
its just my opinion that women that are too inclusive of gay men
tend to look for the same things in a non gay man.
Women fall in love with gay men everyday. I sthis what you meant
by the masculinity comment. What does that say about women?

No, that the media, and all forms of advertisement have generated an upgrade on the old stereotypes of men and women.

Ok, here's an example..here in Oz, sitting on the dunes watching surfers...commenting on style, skill, risks, etc...no-one seems to notice gender or sexuality..the comments aren't "that ride totally ripped...and they cut it up for a chick...or for a gay guy"

It's 'Did you see that? That just totally rocked!"

There are less limitations when there aren't stereotypes, and people seem to earn respect here for their human-ness not their gender, or their sexuality.

Men are whatever they choose to be, and women the same...simple easy, and no blurred lines...just be a decent human, and ditch the whole labelling thing.

surf city, I think you need to wakeup, I for one am not gay am as straight as they come. still I manage to keep my house better than most women, also I am a better cook than most women.one thing I never do is call a lady a lez simply because I can out do her when it comes to housekeeping and cooking. another thing I know for sure some of them can outdo me, when it comes to things that are usually considered masculine. there should be no gender stereotype today both sexes are equal.

The lady that started this thread did the labeling!
And jess> Gays also do the labeling. they want to be know as gay
in most cases. I get upset when woman just want to throw every man in the kettle and say to themselves it does,nt matter.

Very true SCK...that comment just be a decent human, and ditch the labelling, wasn't intended towards you specifically, apologies if it appeared that way..

and you are right, there are people everywhere that identify themselves with specific groups...all sorts of titles and labels..I just find it creates barriers...and can generate prejudice, is all...there was no intention to single you out as some bad guy, SCK..I know you aren't.flowerforyou

If you find that gay friend, Do me a favor. Don't bring him to the Home Depot. I don't think I could handle it.

Women like gay guys because they can be friends with them and not be judged by them. No strings, and good clean fun without any bounderies (so to speak).

Gay men are passive!!??laugh Passive!???laugh laugh Not the gay men I know! Anything but passive. Laid back and lovin life, is not being passive. They get loud and upset just like all of us. They will stand up and fight as fast as anyone. Calm down and get over it and carry on. You need to quit lumping all people in groups as being one way or another.

As for, Honme Depot....everyone loves Home Depot, even gay guys. Why wouldn't they? Better be careful saying things like that. Home Depot may not like losing their money.

People Rock!! ALL PEOPLE....

as friends and lovers.

Girly men?? You obviously haven't seen some of the gay guys I have seen.

'Girly men' as you say, are kind and loving and in touch with themselves. Their hearts and feelings. Not that some straight men are not, but it is a lucky woman that gets a guy that isn't afraid to leave the "macho" outside.

Don't get me wrong...I love some macho, at the right time. But I much prefer a kind and warm man. Not afraid to show his feelings. Not a whiner though. Can't stand that from anyone.
