I often wonder if sight is not the one sense we would be better off without ? Because it is sight which makes most of us so shallow and judgmental Without it we would all be equally as beautiful ! Though true we would miss much without it as well... 
This question really made me stop and think. But I wonder if shallowness is due to sight or is it something from within our own personality. For instance if a blind person was with somebody that everybody told them was very ugly ,would they still want to be with them? Does our shallowness come from insecurity? Needing the approval of other people? |

I think if I had to live without one of my senses it would be the sense of smell. I'd miss the smell of some flowers, or the way the ocean smells sometimes, or a good perfume or cologne or the smell of a freshly washed baby. But.... Just think, bad breath of others, (or gas), or poopy diapers, or cigarette smell. It wouldn't bother me. That could be a plus right?

But then it would really make me feel frustrated if I couldn't taste my food. I would hate to not be able to taste everything I was eating. It's hard enough getting me to drink water, because it has no taste at all. So I buy flavoured bottled water. Can you imagine not being able taste chocolate. Bad I tell you. Just bad.

Hi Jemare I think you have to give up four of them and only keep one. Geez Betty: I went back and actually read instead of scanned.... You're right, I'm wrong (and I'm still blonde) 
OK, so updated version: I guess I would want my sight and forgo the other senses. I could get around on my own, see the warmth in loved ones eyes, and be able to eat healthy foods I don't like (since I wouldn't have the sense of taste) Oh yea: Living cheaply near a sewage plant or cow farm as a bonus  But I still get to keep my sixth sense and common sense because they didn't count right

well the more I think of it the more I like your idea of not being able to smell body odour, bad breath and cigarette smoke . lol
