I find women around my own age much more appealing, when I look at most younger woman they just remind me to much of teenagers, as they are still in that phase of their lives, I love most is conversation, can't really have that with younger girls, and it's not always the older men chasing younger girls, more like the opposite, I have had a few younger ones attempting to date me, since I am 52 my cutoff is usually no younger then say late thirties. most women I date are mid 40's and up, I just have a lot more fun being with women in this age group, I am also a person that thinks young, I still enjoy a little silliness once in a while and the simple things in life, not a partyer though, been there, done that. Not all older men do I know but the good ones are happily married and if not, then they are few and far between Oh this last comment about the good ones happily married is so true. The nicest guys I met are happily married men and they are sweeties. They care about their wives, actual;y listen to them, don't stay glued to the tv set/remote control, and treat them with respect. Yep; all the good ones are gone. sigh |

Cougar!! who doesn't want a cougar!

I'm the opposite I find I have more in common with the older ladies, younger girls are too immature for me. Older ladies know what they want already.
Also helps the older ladies are sexy as hell ;) |

What the phuck is up with all the cougar questions lately? Has Mingle become cougar central? Lot of guys unable to catch something their own age casting their lures into the deeper water I guess. |

I don't know why you guys have to give the older women names.
I guess we need to start calling the older men something. I will say this, I for some odd reason, enjoy younger men. When I was 34, he was 21 and we had a relationship for almost 3 years. He wanted kids and I could not have any more so I ended the relationship and told him to have children with someone his own age. He still pursued me and kept saying he never loved anyone like me. I HAD NO MONEY, so I know he didn't love me for my money. I have been in a relationship with someone 8 years older. It was not fun and it was rather boring. I guess back then I was young at heart and I wanted to have fun. Now...I am very content with my life and I have been single for many years. I think we go through stages just like men do. BUT if a man dates a much younger woman, he is considered a stud because OMG he can keep up with her. PLEASE...IT IS NOT FAIR TO JUDGE WOMEN THAT DATE YOUNGER GUYS AND SAY THEY ARE USING THEM FOR THEIR MONEY WHEN YOU SAY A MAN IS A STUD FOR KEEPING UP WITH THAT YOUNGER WOMAN. |

Well I dated a guy briefly when I was 43..he was 25. He blew me away one day when he messaged me on yahoo after I had moved to another city but didnt tell him. He was quite upseet and accused me of using him for sex. What a twist..I felt bad. At that time I was broke and jobless. Another guy I was in a relationship with and lived with [8 yrs younger] still wants me back after 4 yrs. Its not always about money and sex and if it is..thats easy to figure out. I actually get along much better with younger men as I have been told I have a young mind [dont confuse that with immature] I really would love to find someone my age who thinks young but they are too busy chasing young women..thats the truth I would like to also mebtion that common interests and communication are important. Not all older men are good commnicaters. Just saying I tend to agree with a lot of this. I have dated a lot of younger men also. Let's face it at my age most men are married, and bossy or married just looking for a fling (no thanks). I find younger men accommodate to things - all kindsa things - more readily and they are less judgmental and more likely to help around the house....since they usually make less $$ or not a whole lot more than I do (the ones I have met anyway), there is no chest puffing in home Commander who thinks because he brings home the bacon he gets to tell me what to do 24/7........ ..........that is such a relief fellas, seriously - not meant in a mean way, but as heartfelt, seriously....this is so nice not to have to deal with that.... not to have to deal with that manboss who thinks THAT is what partner means. (and I'm not saying all older men are like that - I know they aren;t. but I am always afraid they WILL be). don;t get me wrong I love men my age and generally get along well with them if it's coworker or friend....but beyond that there are usually compatability issues...younger men are more....well...more "chill" |

I had a very similar situation as what you describe in the first part of your post...also had no real money to speak of to explain his attraction to me. we jsut gelled well and laughed a lot - no pressure - we weren't ramping up to do the white picket fence, 2 cats in the yard thin we had fun...that simple...if it was fun we did it...if it was not we did not....I don;t know many older men who could be that chill jmho don't pay attention to judgmental generalizations....that's just guy envy .. lol |

Just keep those older ladies happy. And leave the young ones for us older guys. We don't care. whatever busts your buttons...lol personally I don;t have a real strong age preference....just making some positive insights about some of the younger men I have met. There are good things about older guys too....it really depends on the individual...it is harder for men my age to approach me. I hope they don;t think I'm not interested because they are older, just the opposite. what kills my interest is if they are not really single... and really not many are free.....as in single |

I agree with the term age is but a number. It doesn't matter how old or young (but legal) if the chemistry is there then its there.
I find women of all ages attractive, I have a huge crush on Julianne Moore and she is 52! |
