Government Officials Use The Media To Anonymously Make Case Against Edward Snowden

Following deadly strikes, the militant Islamist group had realized it was “up against the National Security Agency and the Predator drones that can hover out of sight and intercept phone calls,” Matt Apuzzo and Adam Goldman wrote. AQAP members, they reported, had increasingly started using walkie talkies and code names, passing information through intermediaries, and shielding email with “highly sophisticated encryption software.”

But the gov't wants to make it Snowdens fault, so unleash the media lapdogs to the attack!

Anything to not afford him the protection of a "whistleblower", serving the public good, they try to label him a spy in public opinion..... before any trial!

He's not a simple whistle blower nor is he a spy in my eyes as he's not necessarily affiliated with any other countries or groups that anyone knows of.

Edward Snowden is a criminal who stole classified information from the U.S. Government, fled with the intel, and leaked some of it and may have even given it to China and Russia. (willingly or unwillingly)

Either way.
He's different things to different people.
The hammer will be dropped on Edward Snowden's head if the U.S. Government ever does get him back.

Court of public opinion won't matter in this case. (If it ever gets there)
The evidence is against Edward Snowden.
He wouldn't be able to get out of it by claiming he was doing it for some grand or noble purpose.
He knew this.

I believe there should be a public trial since he was a public contractor, working for a private public company, even tho they were under gov't contract.

He took NO oath, only signed a confidentiality agreement.

He has not broken any Federal laws, only civil ones so far.

A Military Tribunal would be a miscarriage of justice since the documents proved abuses to the peoples rights and liberty by that same gov't which seeks to silence him.... that's the definition of a whistleblower!

He has admitted he took and released these documents, an admission of guilt, but no a worse crime than a fragrance manufacturer stealing the patented scent of another.

Hussein's transparency is showing.
That's why they need to make dead Mr Snowden, IMO.

In order to claim that he stole something, the people he stole it from would have to prove that they no longer have it.

I'm quite sure they still have copies of all that information. laugh laugh

They can't prove they "lost" anything or had anything stolen.

Information can't be stolen when it is in digital format and can be copied with the click of a mouse. Information can only be released.

As stated, He has not broken any Federal laws, only civil ones so far.

Industrial spying goes on all the time and American companies are the ones who do it the most and are the best at it. They make the claim that is has something to do with "national security." This is a bald faced lie because it does not.

It is all about business. It has always been about business, and it will always be about business.

He stole nothing. He uncovered a small truth.

Even some of the most used inscription software has a back door for spying.

The only thing that can beat this electronic big brother spy network is LOW TECH.

If you don't want to be monitored, throw away your phones, computers, etc. laugh

So true.

The issue is not what Snowden did but what what he exposed and any thinking person should know this.

This is a modern fascist state we live in. This country is a fraud.

Please don't blame the country for the faults of its leaders, the corrupt, dollar influenced, media sponsored electoral process, and the stupidity and apathy of its voters.
