There are days when I do not know whether to be happy or sad.....kinda like I am neither .... so I choose to be happy.
How do you choose to be happy - elevate your mood??? remind yourself that you have made this happiness choice? How do you stay positive when feeling a little down from the "slings and arrows"? |

How do you choose to be happy - elevate your mood??? remind yourself that you have made this happiness choice? How do you stay positive when feeling a little down from the "slings and arrows"? I dance around the house to Billy Idol. I sing along with Queen. I drink way too much caffeine. I put way too much bubble bath in the tub and soak and make the bubbles into mountains and then blow them down. I write silly poetry. I draw. I color CREATIVELY in coloring books. I read funny books. I chat on my Yahoo groups. I hope Old Hippie will call me and crack me up. |

I write. I talk to friends online or in meatspace. I read funny blogs, or read an interesting book. I go for a walk, or hit the gym and work out. I sing out loud in the car. I do something nice for someone else. I meditate and/or pray. In the evening, perhaps I meet up with a friend for a drink and some good conversation.

I tell myself that I have much to be happy about...especially if I have been, for some reason, reminded of bad things that happened I guess I look for the silver lining and conciously choose to reflect on the positive while at the same time remembering to learn from the negative. tend to take a reflective approach before action. |

This is easy.
You don't hope for a good day. You MAKE IT a good day. If it is someone else's job to make you happy when you feel poopy.....you may be disappointed. It is a choice. If you choose to be happy....none of us can stop you. If you choose to be miserable...none of us can stop you. So.....what's it gonna be? Are you happy or sad today? |

I embrace all of my feelings. I don't believe in good or bad feelings. If I'm sad, then I cry. If I'm happy, then I'm all over the place. If I'm mad, take cover.

Well I must admit, usually, all I have to do is come here to feel happy.(of course, I mostly troll the boards, reading and smiling as I go along.) But a confession is in order. Occasionally it saddens me. I'm like miss yellowrose, I think, in that I do own my emotions, embrace them actually. Yes often, I experience a myriad of emotions, but I paid my ticket with my tears. Rest assured, I'm riding that rollercoaster.
