The Christians support Assad, from what little I understand. That is the short of it. The Islamic rebels want to purge the christian populace and Assad and the army is all that stands between it happening. In other words, our gov't wants to back a holocaust scenario on the christians of Syria in order to overthrow Assad who won't fall into line with their way of thinking, and are willing to arm and fund Al Queda to do it. This will also help fuel the forever war on terror the military industrial complex and the banks (and of course the politicians who support them) so desire to keep at the top of any agenda. Without these wars, no more payday for them and they may lose their power. |
