About 1month and a 1/2 ago a freind of my overdosed... they found him in the bathtub he was a good freind of mine...at one time he had been clean 4 years and was my sponser in AA, i got the news when i was still drinking that he had passed...after i got sober mybe a week into this ..i needed closure... i went out to the park sat down by a stream, said what i needed to say.. and walked away... feeling relief it brought back memeories of when my brother took his life 11 years ago..but this time i dealt with it right away.. what i learned from all this is simple.. watch what you say to others treat others well and becareful what you say to the ones you love you may never have a chance to say . am sorry... but as for me i have peace with my brother and with my freind..

STEVIL, YOU ARE SO RIGHT. SEEMS LIKE SOME PEOPLE ARE ALMOST AFRAID TO SHOW THEIR FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS TO OTHERS. YOU HAVE TO LIVE EACH DAY LIKE IT'S YOUR LAST, BECAUSE YOU JUST NEVER KNOW WHEN THE GOOD LORD WANTS YOU. I TELL MY MOM, MY KIDS, I LUVE THEM EVERYDAY, AND THEY DO ME TOO.

Very true is like the Garth Brooks song if Tomorrow Never comes. I always tell my family and closest friends that I care for them and that I love them. Sorry to hear about your friend and brother.

I, like yourselves, have lost many dear ones over the years.. and have taught my girls from day one that "we don't leave angry.. we ALWAYS say 'I love you' no matter HOW upset we are with the other.. that HATE is replaced with DON'T LIKE Rite Now.. and to THINK before we speak!

Words have a powerful impact not only on ourSELVES but on OTHERS as well.. the sayin "do unto others, as you would have done unto you" is a code I try to live up daily.. as shud we all.. but that's just my opinion

Steve when we loose someone we love either it be a friend ,parent or our partner. I is very hard to deal with. We must deal with it within and be thankful for the time we had with them always remember the good times that was shared. They may not be were you can touch them but they have done somthing no oe can take away. They have touched your heart and left a part of them there. So in reality even though they are not here they have never left you.
