BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) — Police arrested two teenagers Friday who are suspected in the shooting death of a 13-month-old baby in a stroller and wounding the baby’s mother during an attempted robbery.
Seventeen-year-old De’Marquis Elkins is charged as an adult with first-degree murder. “He asked me for money and I said I didn’t have it,” she said. “When you have a baby, you spend all your money on babies. They’re expensive. And he kept asking and I just said ‘I don’t have it.’ And he said, ‘Do you want me to kill your baby?’ And I said, ‘No, don’t kill my baby!’” He fired at her head and the bullet grazed her left ear – she has a small scab and bruising there. He fired again and shot her in the left leg above the knee. “I didn’t know I was hurt.” “The boy proceeded to go around to the stroller and he shot my baby in the face,” she said. “And then he just shoved me when I started screaming and he ran down London Street. NO, Because Criminals Will Still Get Guns; Gun Laws Only Disarm Law Abiding Citizens. criminals breaking laws is no reason to abandon any attempt at creating or enforcing laws... but this story screams odd to me,, I will wait for the evidence and further detials,,,,, could be another susan smith in the making,,,close enough to 'walk around' and shoot the baby, but only grazed her huh? The Police already arrested the crook, besides that the Mother was shot on the side of her face and in the leg to be disabled before the Monster shot the baby. I didnt read of any evidence this is true besides the mothers statement, I also dont see the article mentioning that the mother is 'disabled' and I would think a mom would be much more than disabled in such a circumstance,, but thats just my gut,,, we will see sounds staged to me,, but time will tell,,,,,,, mu gut, (and I could be wrong), causes me to recall a different soty 'On October 25, 1994, Smith reported to police that she had been carjacked by an African-American man who drove away with her sons still in the car. You say susan smith.. I say duke lacrosse rape case. Either way... They may find out the truth.. another good example, people get immediately emotional about rape and children but forget that an accusation doesnt equal guilt,,,, |

The teen's aunt says he was at her house when it happened. Before we convict him we need to see all the evidence and defense.
