I've seen quite a few forum regulars hook up from this site so I know it can work. Online dating doesn't seem to work for me though. I've never met anyone off a dating site, ever. There aren't a lot of people on the Big Island to begin with and very very few that are on dating sites.

Same here. Haha. Mind if I add u as a friend?. I think it would be kool to follow eachothers progress. Haha.

I don't work at online dating like I used to. There was a time I'd send out 50 messages a week. I don't have that kind of time anymore, so my results suffer. But, I've always seen online dating as just another hook in the water. When I'm home, I go out to nightclubs and other social events. It's pretty easy to meet someone when I want to.

Years ago I used the old yahoo chatrooms before all the Bots took over and I had met quite a few people off there.

Today I am finding it very hard to meet anyone off these sites. It could be that I am older now and/or people have just changed. Maybe I have changed, I'm not really sure what it is.

Three weeks on site, three dates different men, same pattern ...lots of messages flattery, I can't stop thinking about you, then its let's meet up. They text, phone, email, constantly till you feel close to them and feel you know them. It could take, 1,2,3,+ dates but as soon as you have sex its over and they move one to the next one they have been working on. I know this as fact, I have female friends on the site, turns out these men gave us all the same spin....cruel blatant and disgusting. I can name them and shame them if anyone is interested

I switched from PoF to mingle. PoF took too much of my time-too many women (I know, that sounds odd) so I decided to delete my account and try this site.

Gotta say, this site is waaayyyy slower re: meeting people. Also, the profiles are very skimpy re: content. Have emailed 3-4 people and so far only met one.

Met a woman who it turned out was just interested in casual sex.

Met and dated a woman for 4 months. quality person-but in the end the emotional connection was not enough.

P.O.F seems to have one too many forums, i.m.h.o. And I've seen the conversations in those forums, and well, the way they conversate quite frankly it put me off that website for life. Wish I could get a date I don't feel attractive

This is my 3rd site to try. I don't know if it's because I am a bbw or what, but the only folks that seem to message me on the other two sites ended up asking me to send them money or to open a bank account and give them access to it.

If we are seeking out that one in a million then lets face it....that's a lot of interviews. If you truely know what you want and are not going to give in and settle for close then time is required. I personally have been searching for a few years and in that time I have experienced each facet of the woman I know exists. This journey has taught me much about myself and much about how to appriciate her when I find her for I already know what it is like to not have her in my life.
