Cell phones are worthless.

such a broad statement, it's difficult to agree totally
as far as craftsmanship, i agree as far as status symbols, i agree as far as availability to youths, i agree the flip side is that the convenience is unmatched. being able to get in touch with someone in an emergency is awesome. being able to have access to information at your fingertips can also be wonderful cellular telephones are a luxury that has become an unnecessary necessity |

Not true. A lot of the features are worthless but being able to communicate on the fly is nice!

I think we have a love hate relationship with them.
Personally I have one of those throw-away phones just for using with I need them for a trip. At home I prefer my phone be attached to the wall. |

I pay less for cell service than i would for a land line.
Gophone has done me well so far. |

I just have a cell phone. I often keep the ringer off if I'm at work or with friends. I'm pretty good at checking it, though, to see if I've missed any calls. However, I think the convenience is for the people with the cell phones. |

METROPCS and I don't have limited anything!
$40 a month too! Whoot Whoot! AT&T are thieves! |

I have a pay as you go phone and when it gets low it tops up at $5.00 intervals. I use it only for emergencies or just to confirm an address or time so I only spend about $5.00 every couple months. Home phone is only $21.00; where as the average cell plan here starts at $40.00.

To me they are worth more than landlines. Mostly if they are smart. No matter how cheap a landline might be it can't equal the comfort of having a cellphone in ma pocket.

I would rather have a cell phone any day compared to a landline.... If your waiting on a call it does not hold ya to waiting... and you can be reached no matter where you are...

I could live with out my smart phone, but why should I? I use it to keep in touch with friends and family and to connect to the internet. I use it for mapping and I have apps that help me figure out where I'll be parking for the night as well as where I can pick up supplies and as entertainment. When you live in an 18 wheeler all these things become very important. Sure, I could do it without my phone and I did for a long time. But having it adds greatly to my quality of life.
I have T-Mobil. I went with them because they have the largest 4G network. Sense I travel all over the USA I need that kind of coverage. |
