Topic: What the hell's a gigawatt? | |
---|---|
I thought I would post a topic.
What future do you envision for yourself? What do you want to do, be, or are you where you want to be in life? Is who you are today who you saw yourself becoming when you were younger? And to be fair, I'll answer first. A great one, however cloudy at times...I want to write, and have, but not on the level I wish too. I do not know, I have no memory of when I was younger, but I don't think I turned out all that bad. The last point is debatable, if we're being fair here. |

Some pointless, poetic death is en route. I have to finish at least this first goddamned novel before I can die. I'll go out like Hunter, minus roughly 40 years.
Live fast, die young; don't forget to tip your waitress. |

I think you turned out just fine :-)
I never had any expectations for myself, other than being as kind as possible to other people..I believe I used to think that would be returned..if I never wished bad of anyone, I would never have evil thoughts around me. I am in a really good place, surrounded by love, I would never expect more than that. |

Well thank you very much, soufie...But we both know you're bias, haha!
I had my own twist on the live fast bit too...Live fast, go hard, die young. I always figured it could be one of the most memorable obituaries ever written. |

I'd always thought I'd have a few cheesy horror movies under my belt by now. Though I have been working on 2 scripts for years, they always seem perpetually unfinished as I'm never satisfied with them and constantly changing things.

Geez, with my son ordering more gigabyte memory for my laptop I thought this would be an informational thread But getting back to topic: I guess I'm where I thought I'd be when I was younger. Although, maybe not so far from family and where I was raised. you never know where life leads you, but over a lifetime maybe that's not a bad thing

My goals were relatively modest, but I exceeded them way beyond my wildest dreams. I then thought "why not dream the impossible?" and decided to be the world's best flying pig!
Seems to be working out pretty well! |

I reached my goals, became what I wanted for a brief time until disease struck.
How about live fast, die slow? That's what I'm doing, having as much fun as possible. |

Aw shoot - ya fooled me. I thought this was a thread about time travel and DeLoreans.... It sort of is...Or at least can be. Minus the DeLorean, unfortunately. |

This is actually great; one of the things I teach my clients (and no I am NOT trolling for clients- although I could make a fortune off you lot LOL); is backward chaining. You set a goal and then examine what you would have to do right before reaching it and then before reaching that point and so on and so on; by the time you done you should have a step by step task analysis on how to reach that goal.

I thought I would post a topic. What future do you envision for yourself? What do you want to do, be, or are you where you want to be in life? Is who you are today who you saw yourself becoming when you were younger? Prosperous future. I am where I want to be in life. No, when I was younger I thought I would marry a military man and live in Hawaii or someplace like that. |

Interesting observation...If you ever decide to author a book (or series of books) that is/are a compilation of the accounts of REAL people, setting REAL goals, including step by step analyses of how they attained those goals, i think you would have a "best seller" on your hands. I for one would like to be first in line at the signing... |
