Excellent question the OP asked.

After pondering it for a bit. If I were a man who liked an intelligent, honest, unpretentious, strong willed, fair minded, sexual, unconventional, positive, unneedy and attractive not thin woman, then yea, I would date me.

Because of tastes and preferences I will not be the cup of tea for all men but the ones who I have let close are always glad for the time we share and sad to see it end when it does or so they say. They all tell me they would gladly come back if I want them again.

I am rough around the edges so his ego can't be fragile.

Word. Props. Good luck finding men without fragile egos. laugh Love you, men. Don't attack me. lol

Where would you take yourself on a date?

Good question. The most expensive restaurant with music, flowers, and a nice ambiance, of course. flowerforyou

And as far as associating being overweight with not working out and not being attractive, that is one opinion ;)

No offense to BBWs. ;-)

Oh Hail yes!

You know how they say the best predictor of how your future will go with someone is their past behaviors? Well when I (and others) look back and see how the people have done in their relationships with me I would say I am a real good bet. Stronger family life, educations acquired, economic prosperity, homes acquired, improved or very well maintain health, having a lot of fun, making their dreams come true, people telling them they would be glad to be them. That doesn't sound like a bad deal at all.

lol I should be so lucky.

P.S. If having a relationship is only dependent on looking a "certain" way, up to a certain standard, well then that would blow a lot of people out of the water because 99% of the world does not live up to some media ideal for physicality so that is HOGWASH.

I can look pretty kicking for my years and other things but I would NOT REPEAT NOT think that makes me any more or less deserving of being Dateable.

If I could date a female version of myself I think it would be quite boring. We would have exactly the same point of view on everything. I've had some very good debates with ex's (I said debates, not arguments. That's a whole different story.) Makes for interesting conversation. We've also turned each other on to some new things. There are a few C.D.'s in my collection that weren't there prior to dating a certain person. One thing is for sure though. There would be no argument about what to listen to on the radio or watch on the t.v. Also I would never have to catch an earful for stopping at the bar on my way home from work!

Wow; you sound just like me; and I concur that he ego can't be fragile but as the Op said that is hard to find.

I would not date myself, apher all i can not spell nor hold a GREAT conversation. I am to self absorbed and shallow. As for my looks they are great just on a mini scale. I have a great attitude as long as i like you or am at least entertained in some fashion. The only good thing about me are my ethics which change here and there as i choose. The only reason i would date myself is because i am a total mark.

Most of you understood the question. I am talking about the qualities which you see in yourself. Would you consider yourself attractive to date, even to yourself? I see some amusing answers but you are dodging the question...

This is a very different question.

Absolutely I consider myself worth dating. I'm a hell a catch. I'm smart, fun, hard working, neat, an good cook, good looking, a good lover, true to my word and I ask only that my lover keep her word and don't ever nag me.

I would not date a person like myself because I'm attracted to someone that is more shy than I am.

I can't speak for anyone else but I like who I am, have no problems getting dates and I'm constantly trying to improve who I am.

I'd date myself, it'd be like anti-matter meeting matter.

I don't need a supermodel either.
