when there is a pic, holding an alcoholic beverage or another woman is not appealing

location, age, interests, enthusiasm, factor into whether or not I will reply to a total stranger

I agree with pinksmartie. You need to post a good picture or two of yourself to let people know who they are talking to. In my experience, if someone doesn't post a photo it's because they are hiding from someone (wife or girlfriend), or they have something to hide. Make sure the photos are oriented the right way, show a close up of your face and/or a full body, they are recent, and don't have another woman in them since you can't add a caption to explain who they are. Also, fill out your profile completely and honestly and make sure the messages you send are respectful and interesting. Not everyone will respond, but it should help. Good luck to you!

No picture, little about you on your profile, and you smoke? Those might be some of the reasons for no replies.

I would put a picture up if I were you. I don't even look at profiles if there is no pic.
