with Christmas just a short week away.. I'm sensing a tone of disenchantment, of loss and of spiritual unhappiness.. let's not forget the happy times folks.. it's time for hugging family, sharing tears of laughter and igniting the spirit of giving.. so SHOW us yer CHRISTMAS!!

You have to understand that for some; this is a stressful time of year as well as those who have lost loved ones; its a very sad time of year. Also; there are those of us who don't have families to be with; although it doesn't bother me personally; others are feeling depressed. Also; there are lots of people jobless, homeless, and just plain poor so they have little to celebrate. Please try to understand that not every one sees Christmas as a happy time. |

Dear Mingle "Family",
We are spread far and wide across the world but at this time a year I would like to wish those that read these words the comfort and blessings of the holidays. That as you feel a winter breeze on your cheek and see the lights twinkle that you feel a little lift in your heart and a kiss of kindness that you can find as you smile and extend yourself with warmth and generousity that you bring here. If your year has been a challenge or melted away almost before you could see it pass take a moment and remember the blessings that we have being able to be here and have so much more than many in the world. Take a moment and send a greeting to a few friends and a couple new ones. Many times a warm greeting is the most hoped for Santa secret. ....Star |

I understand all too well the stresses that come with this time of year.. I've endured the loss of those I've loved deeply.. I've also felt the restraints of poverty and spent weeks of solitude in hospitals.. but I've always tried my best not to let any of it take away the joys of life.. just who I am is all.. I may not even share this holiday with both of my kids.. but that doesn't mean I should sit and wallow in loneliness.. there are always others that are far worse off than I..... besides.. one doesn't need pockets filled with money or being surround by a flock of people to find the true meaning of Christmas.. it's the joy in seeing a smile in response to yours.. giving an hour of your time to comfort another or just sharing a hug with a friend.. the spirit is in the joy of giving.. I'm simply trying to encourage others to share in the smallest of hope.. because life can change.. if we want it bad enough.. and some powers of healing come.. from simply giving a little piece of ourselves.. Merry Christmas NavyGirl..
