I dont know if this means he was an awful person or if he will be in Heaven with God or not

I doubt anyone has any idea where this creature is, only thing that is certain is that he is dead. The dead dont go anywhere once they are dead. If they could then they are not dead. I never met god so id have a hard time knowing what he wants considering the state of this world. Mr. Lanza is dead, thats for sure, good riddence.

Unfortunately his name will be mentioned over and over until the next tragady unfolds. Lanza is no differant then Berkowitz, Mansan, Kleaboe, Dahmer or anyother.

Unfortunately, that's what alot of people don't get. These monsters do it for the notoriety because they were nothing whilst walking and living among us. It's their belief that they will become immortalized for their heinous crimes through social networking sites and the media.

I can take steps with my FB to ensure none of those names are ever mentioned again.

Not according to popular religions...He could have confessed his sins before he shot himself and be perfectly okay to enter into most heavens. Even a good chunk of those religions as long as he believed in God he is free and clear. These observations bring me to my own interpretation of hell or heaven, if man is the ultimate decider of who enters either...Why bother with a God?

As it is the case is far to fresh and I'm going to give it a good few weeks, maybe even months to flesh itself out and I can have concrete facts in front of me. Hell, Columbine took almost two years to flesh out the entirety of that situation. I'm more interested in what drove him to do this rather than hanging a witch on a stick and lighting a fire...The only way to prevent future acts like this is to study why the person did what they did, even if it isn't all that pretty.

I highly doubt this guy killed his mother for notoriety, this man was obviousely disturbed. I also doubt anyone actually knows the reason for his actions. As for his name of Lanza, it means nothing to me as I understand that their will be more to come and could careless. As for not having them mentioned again, good luck, history can not be erased only hidden. This will go down in history because it is the product of our society. We created this monster, and we have more to come because we lack the wisdom, the consciouseness, love, and desire nor will to reverse a most disturbing trend embedded in our very psyche.

perhaps there is some merit to understanding the lives of such 'idiots' so we can do more about it before it happens in the future

Then let those with the knowledge to 'study' them do so, although they seem to have had ample opportunities to do so...yet no solution is forthcoming from them now is it? I can only speculate as to the reason why...and i've come up with my own assumptions. The point of never mentioning their name is to purge them into oblivion...where they belong.
