Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will not be able to testify before House and Senate panels on the Benghazi issue due to concussion, Fox News learned Saturday.

Clinton was a scheduled to testify Thursday on the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, in which U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stephens and three other Americans were killed.

The State Department said Saturday that Clinton is suffering from a stomach virus, fainted and hit her head, which caused the concussion.

However, the agency did not say when the incident occurred.

Both congressional panels announced earlier this week that Clinton would testify Thursday. However State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said Thursday a related report has yet to be completed and no date has been set.

Well, you know what they say Will, timing is everything ....What I am dying to know is how it's going to be er "fairly easy" to find out if the accident did actually happen and if Clinton did actually sustain a concussion severe enough to prevent her from testifying ...I'm certainly not saying she didn't, but I can't for the life of me figure out how one would confirm it if she did....

I'm sure Congress will still be there when she gets better.

I think if she is taking full responsibility, then they should prosecute her.

I was flipping channels. I saw and heard her say it. She did not say the part about no plans to prosecute anyone, but the news announcer did. She just took full responsibility for it. Not sure what she meant by that...

I'm sure she was referring to the media (or other) handling of it, not the actual attack. LOL
