Have they been who they said they are? Have they been different than the person they portrayed? If they weren't who they said they were, what was different?

The only person I've met from sites like these was a gal I met on MySpace and she was legit. I have yet to meet anyone off this site

The ones I've met have all been who they said they were. But I only ever contact people with photos, for one thing, and I'm really cautious in addition to that.
Having them be who they said they were doesn't mean that things worked out. In a couple of cases, I wanted it to, but I probably wasn't exciting enough for them. Maybe they thought I wasn't who I seemed to be! |

Most said they were who they said they were. Although most seem to be try to be more "attractive" online than in real life, whereas I try to down play my awesomeness, apparently both online and in real life. All of them turned out to really nice people.

I've had mainly positive experiences except for the extremely negative ones. But mainly positive. And weird. Whatever. I talk to strangers anyway. I've got friends in Russia and **** that I met on trains that have probably told me more lies than people off the internet.

I've only met a few but they were as expected. I met my best friend on this site the first week I signed up many moons ago. I talk to her daily and see her weekly. Good friends are hard to find......

I have met 5 people from sites. It's funny how people can look exactly like their pic and be so much different than expected. 2 out of 5 serious errors. No love matches with the others but nice people.

Have they been who they said they are? Have they been different than the person they portrayed? If they weren't who they said they were, what was different? Myspace once upon a time. He was a musician, pretended to be some rock star. I found out his drummer was writing all the songs and that very much changed my opinion right quick. Plus he was cheap and looked like he never seen a toothbrush in his life. I think mostly everyone now on dating sites if very scared to meet anyone. Lot of folks are still hung up on their exes which prolongs the fear and bores me heavily. |

Early days on here, I met a few who 'just wanted to be friends'
which was great with me. But after meeting, and it's obvious nothing more will be there, they don't want to talk to you again, like the whole friend thing was a sham. They always want more. One learns. |

Yes, I've met people from other sites. And they have been pretty much what I expected..but not getting to visit with them on forums, made it hard to really get a true picture of them before we actually met..Some, we got along, some we didn't.

Men I met inperson were who they said they were. One was really overweight thou, his photo then didn't show all that. I didn't feel any was the perfect match for me, however, a couple wanted to still have a few more dates, but I said no.

Those I've met from here were who they said they were. I'm still friends with them!
I've met some from another site as well. There was really only one who lied about his height, which was pretty silly. According to his profile, he was taller than me. When we met, he was not taller. He was actually an inch or two shorter, it seemed. |

I've locked them all away so they can't tell the truth heh heh

Have they been who they said they are? Have they been different than the person they portrayed? If they weren't who they said they were, what was different? For the most part, yes. No, not really. |
