You cant tell me the swirls in my head is craziness, I cant control the sounds the world puts inside it. Rub you head like a jeannie in a bottle. But nothing comes out to ease the pain. So many diets. So many pills. So many side effects. Toys taking the place of passion. XXX images for 3 min of relief. Conflicting messages of what beautiful is. Is it long hair, short hair, curves, straight lines, injected, padded, or tucked. Messages of change. But the only thing you find at the end of the day, is change. A dream of a 6 number life change. A new drug to escape it all. A piece of plastic made for a nickle, worth a lifetime of debt. Why cant we love each other, and raise a family? Because we still have options. And i didnt need a daddy, or mommy. I didnt turn out bad, right? Followers of the next best thing. We cant not have it. There is something we all HAVE TO HAVE. Just 3 easy payments. Fu(k it, when im dead, what will i know. Please forgive me for my sin, and my future sin. Because all is forgiven, right? If it feels good, do it. It cant hurt anything. Live Life to the fullest. Who's to say i will wake up tommorow. The end is near. HE is comming. The ground will open and swallow all evil. Get on your knees and beg for mercy. Just dont open your eyes until im finished. Our little secret. What is the meaning of life? The meaning of life, is you spending your life tring to figure out the meaning of life. Sometimes i just get tired of it all.

The meaning of life is just to live it.

Nothing else.

Wow sounds like things are out of control and you are looking for what is right in front of you.

The meaning of life IMHO none of us realy get to know but who am I to say.

Probably come closer to finding it if you quit chaseing the ultimate high.

What works for me most often is just find some balance in life by treating others the way you want to be treated instead of compeateing with them.

Sorry you had a Mommy and Daddy just like all of us do. Some unfortuneately are not as perfect as others and maybe it sucks to have to forgive them for doing what some call a less than steller job but you got here and what you make of yourself as an adult is your doing.

If you are not all that thrilled how it is turning out then maybe you can try forgiving yourself for the past, live one day at a time, doing the best that you can, and change your ways so you don't need any further forgiveness.

And this is just a theroy but what if HE was already here and gave us the rules and the means to to get "it" right? Pick any great religion and most direct us to treat each other well not as something to conquer or domonate but to revear and treasure. People were born with legs/feet for a reason and it is because they don't have to go through life crawling and begging but standing up with self worth and value like all others.

Don't waste your life on inconsequential navel gazing. Just go out and live! To search for a 'meaning to life' assumes that a meaning actually exists. That has never been determined. We haven't very long on this world and we can cease to exist in a flash.

WOW I had a very different reaction. It read like poetry to me. It was a poem about freedom.

I liked it.

Just words - like all of philosophy is just words. No effect on reality unless some person pretends those words have meaning and chooses to do something based on them.

I liked it too, but I didn't see it as poetic so much as musing about life itself.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if this was a personal rant or stating facts of others? There was someone who developed aggraphobia. That made them realize that their life was even more limited than it felt before, because not feeling able to go outside is very claustrophobic. This eventually led to her getting over her fear of going outside, because she was so fed up of living like a recluse. As much as they thought of modern life as uncaring and foul, they had discovered that the small things in life are what counts most. Sometimes we make too big a mountain out of things we don't even need to. It may be raining outside, but that doesn't mean I have to let it get me down. drinker

The crap of the world is piled so very high. Every new fix just adds more crap. When you realize there is no fix, then freedom becomes possible.

On the other hand, a good beer never hurts. Cheers!

Depending on the world, the freedom one tastes may be very limited, but as limited as it might be, we should savour the taste and take whatever joy it gives us while we can. I'm reminded of the parable of the strawberry:

Yeah. Anyone enjoys a beer every now and then. Not all of us are regular drinkers of the stuff . Thanks for sharing this blog. Had a read of it. It seems interesting. I meditate. It calms the mind :)

Buddha told a parable in sutra:

A man traveling across a field encountered a tiger. He fled, the tiger after him. Coming to a precipice, he caught hold of the root of a wild vine and swung himself down over the edge. The tiger sniffed at him from above. Trembling, the man looked down to where, far below, another tiger was waiting to eat him. Only the vine sustained him.

Two mice, one white and one black, little by little started to gnaw away the vine. The man saw a luscious strawberry near him. Grasping the vine with one hand, he plucked the strawberry with the other. How sweet it tasted!
Deep!
