Topic: Will the world end in December? | |
---|---|
why even think about the world ending....just take one day at a time and thank God and your friends and family you are alive and breathing and paying your bills. no sense worrying about the end, it will come when God wants it to end for you....so take a deep breath and go forward with a smile on your face and your belly full of good food and gas in your car tank and money in the bank...in other words LIVE and LIVE and be good to one and all.....

I'm trying to stop smoking , bu there no point if it ends. Let me know what ye people believe:) perhaps smoking might kill you before the world ends ...so if you want to perhaps live long enough to witness everyone along with you and the planet die at the same time...then that might be a good reason to stop smoking |

The Mayan never predicted the end of the world..only the end of time (as we know it)and a new age being ushered in. The end of the world is a western/Christian concept... can't have Jesus without Armageddon. The Mayan's never predicted anything, everything they managed to do with their calendar was by careful examination of the sky and time. December 21, 2012 marks the end of the 13th b'ak'tun...Nothing more, nothing less, nothing predicted, just the end of their count. More than likely the reason it does not continue is they ran out of time. Further...F*** your media for instilling unfair and unjust fear into the people, study the Mayan's yourself...Fascinating civilization. I'm not into the the fearmongering end of the world bull$hit so we don't use the same media...and my study comes from my own Peruvian Shamanism practice via the teachings of Alberto Villoldo.. which has NEVER had anything to do with the end of the world garbage. The Mayan do have more to say about this time. Elimination of the word..prediction. "Do not panic. Do not listen to the lies. December 21, 2012 is just the birth of a new humanity returning to live in harmonic oneness with earth and the cosmos. We're letting go of fear and returning to love." Grandfather Don Alejandro Perez Oxlaj ~ Wandering Wolf National Mayan Council of Elders Sounds nice, I hope it's true. |

That is an ignorant cartoon because in the Mayan calendar it was NOT 2012.
That date was arrived at after adjusting our calendar against the Mayan calendar. |

An ending in the Mayan culture did not mean an ending, it meant a great change, or a new beginning. And I agree to predict something through an ancient culture or what have you remains a foolish idea. This world has gone throuh great changes many times over and survived it. Remember, you cannot predict an end. The world is definitely going through changes, so I expect more changes to come.
