So I was considering going 3D on my pc. I have two options. I can spend $250 on an lg monitor with passive technology. Lightweight glasses like the movie theater but you drop your 1080 p to 540 i. My graphics card supports nvidia 3d 2 so I could by a monitor that supports that and get full 1080 p but for $500

The reason why you wont lose any quality is because with pc u can't have true HD. VGA doesn't output true HD . The port is just a gender changer that is all. Best to use a PS3 as it can do what you want.
