Spinach pie, spinach dip, spinach in a smoothie...I go through a LOT of spinach! So good for you!

I must say, I have eaten spinach straight from the package before. My just do it again very soon. Just not out of a can...OMG, that is horrific smelling and tasting!

I try not to get spinach in cans. I do prefer the frozen packages with cream or cheese.

For the cost of fresh, the frozen packages offer more spinach. I like the fresh for sandwiches, and salads. A large bag of Spinach cooks down to to a cup. But oh so good in soups salads.

Ah, now see...I compared my cost locally last year and it was about the same. Spinach hasn't gone up in price (fresh) and is often on sale. Plus I also use it in lieu of lettuce, so it's a win-win for me. Besides, I'd never just cook it down and eat it in a puddle of green. If it's flash fried at all, it's BARELY wilted. Oh, the joys! Popeye would be proud of us, huh?
