I knew I'd forget a bunch, Red! Husk and The Tunnel, and Mulberry Street, Rare Exports, and Doghouse! Oh, and Dance Of The Dead...all are great.

And The Toolbox Murders, and Hatchet, and even Hatchet II, and Storm Warning, and Session 9.

A lot, if not everything, from your list is on my list too. lol. Didn't want to keep repeating movies, so for some, I had to refer to my list on fb. I actually lost my original list. GAH! I know I still forgot quite a few. It's hard to remember when my brain is all rusty. Haha.

It's interesting, on forums like IMDB the complaints about how bad the 2000's were for horror, but it's a really strong decade, yeah there's lots of stinkers, but most decades have stinkers. |

I agree. which is why I don't try to limit my preferences to a certain decade. By the way, someone mentioned here Rec and Rec 2, which are both on my favorites list. Have you seen Rec 3? Cripes, so disappointing. I wanted to scream, "Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy????" |

Dead Birds '04- A group of Confederate soldiers hole up in an abandoned plantation after robbing a bank and find themselves at the mercy of supernatural forces. Another one that creeped me out. I also really liked the Civil War setting. Shallow Ground '04- A naked teenage boy covered in blood appears at a remote sheriff's station one year after the brutal unsolved murder of a local girl. Now Sheriff Jack Shepherd, guilt ridden over the girl's murder, must confront his own demons as he desperately searches for the boy's true identity and possible victims. Little does Jack realize that he has started down a path that will bring him face to face with an unthinkable horror. Before sunrise the living will pay for the pain the dead have suffered. Dead End '03- Christmas Eve. On his way to his in-laws with his family, Frank Harrington decides to try a shortcut, for the first time in 20 years. It turns out to be the biggest mistake of his life. This ones like a feature length Twilight Zone episode. Ray Wise, and Lin Shaye are excellent as the parents. Diary Of The Dead '07- George Romero's found footage about a group of college students trying to make their way to safety during a zombie outbreak. |

I haven't seen the 3rd one yet, but I also haven't heard or read anyone say anything positive about it either haha. Hahaha. I'm not surprised. It was THAT bad. I wanted to slap the bastard who wrote and made that, and actually thought it would be a good sequel to its incredible predecessors. |

I would have listed Chillerama, but one segment keeps it from being a perfect 2000's anthology- I Was a Teenage Werebear, it's just too long. Last time I watched it I skipped that part. But Wadzilla about the giant rampaging sperm is still classic!
And I don't know if Trollhunter is horror, so I didn't include it. But it is my personal favorite 2000's found footage flick. |

I sure hoping Hatchet III is. |

Giant rampaging sperm! It was a hit with some friends. I didn't include Trollhunter too. I didn't think it was a horror film. There's also a post-apocalyptic film called, The Divide. Have I mentioned this to you? It's not a horror movie, but it will leave you pretty much ****ed up. |
