‎"JUST BEING MY HELPFUL SELF"

I hate being myself, when I go to the store!!!!
I always find a way to convince myself that
I need this and this, and a little of that...!
This is what I ended up with this afternoon:

3 2liter diet 7-ups
1 2liter diet pepsi
3 1gal of bottled water
1 frozen pizza (which I'm eating now)
3 cans of dog food
3 cans of "cream of chicken" soup
1 2lb bag of self-rising corn meal
1 can of vienna
1 loaf of sandwich bread
*** 1 2lb bag of white onions ***
1 gal of milk
2 lg Mr Goodbar candy
2 box of 10 "stand & stuff" taco shells
2 cans of sliced potatoes
1 roll of paper towels

My initial "mental list", so no need to write it down, was ONIONS!!! slaphead

NOW…I understand why some of my friends refuse to call me while
they are shopping at the grocery store! They have learned to NOT CALL
John at this crucial money saving event!

NOTE: Hey, call me the next time you go shopping…
I'm sure I could give you some ideas for supper!!
~JOHN~ HAHAHAHA rofl

Never shop while hungry. I used to work at a grocery store, and this was a top reason for over shopping.

Grocery stores are set up for you to spend money, even the music they play is designed to make you stay and shop. Basic necessities in the back and sides, so that you walk around and place more items into your cart, impulse items right at each register. They love kids also, they get parents to spend even more money.

Also, on some items they will promote them at "10 FOR $10"! Big deal...that's still $1 each, and if you are a smart shopper, you know you can find it elsewhere for less, (i.e. .79, .89)! It's just the psychology of "10 for 10" sounds better than "$1 each"! In my opinion.

Yeah, but some stores will only give you the $10 for 10 deal if you buy 10. Most places it's $1 each though.
