Hummm okay we have one week left before we all meet up.....Now is the time to get things together... Are we going to a store once we all get to the Canyon to pick up stuff or are we all bringing something.....

We already know that what ever each wants to drink they can bring that...

But what are we going to do as far as the food?

As far as the menu for each day ect.....


Are we cooking Friday evening or doing sandwiches? Was not sure how close we are to any places to eat and did everyone want to go out to eat Friday or not.....

I know Saturday we will be cooking...


Just figured we need to see what everyone wants to do.

Actually, Friday we will be cooking. Saturday is "The Big Texan Steak Ranch". Don is bringing meat, I'm bringing some tamales. As we wander in on Friday we will have plenty for our first meal and we can get up a list of how to bring the other stuff together (buns, condiments, etc.) It's not that far to the store.

Next saturday we'll be having coffee together about this time

I'll get with Don as we get closer to the weekend. We'll need tortillas for our breakfast tacos with ingredients like sour cream and cheese. The meat is covered. We'll need buns and condiments for our burgers and whatever we want to go with our steaks and burgers. Baked potatoes would probably be best since we can cook them in the microwaves and they use the same toppings as the breakfast tacos.

Right now the menu is looking like (subject to change)

Friday afternoon - snacks
Friday night - we cook steaks
Saturday morning - breakfast tacos
Saturday lunch - burgers
Saturday afternoon - snacks
Saturday night - Big Texan Steak Ranch
Sunday morning - Breakfast tacos

The only meal outside the park is the Steak Ranch.

I may stop at the store and get a small amount of shrimp and grits for Hot Lips cause she is the only one comfortable with public orgasms.

Okay that menu sounds perfect to me....Now all we need to decide is are we going to the store after or just have everyone bring stuff either way is great.

If we all bring some of the things we need then once we get there we are there.... But up to everyone else..

Some homemade guacamole would be nice. The store bought kind can be gross. Quac goes well for snacks, burgers, and breakfast tacos and can even double as a side dish.

Someone needs to call the ranger station the day before and confirm that there is no burn ban that would stop us from using the charcoal grills. Otherwise we might need to bring or buy an electric grill.

Thought someone had mentioned that Vivian was bringing a grill.... Not sure could be wrong...

Since I'm flying, I need to stop at the store for anything/everything I want to bring or contribute. If there's leftovers, ya'll have to take 'em home. The TSA does not like BBQ stuffed in your boots!

I don't think so. There are grills at the cabins.

We can get some ice I'm bring bottle water. what about paper products. You still have some of those left? Is there a microwave ? didn't see it listed.

I think the cabins have microwaves and coffee pots and an outdoor charcoal grill.
