Topic: Get with the program | |

I already do that. I'm looking for programming. I want to eventually develop my own OS and programming language, but can't decide where to start. Why would you want to do that? Would you be able to find compatible programs for this new OS? It might be fun, but will you be able to communicate with the rest of the cyber world? |

OMM! QT better be worth it. It's monstrous! lol Looks pretty promising though. Hopefully it will be what I'm looking for. Good luck sir and I knew there were geekier people than me out there. +1 internets for having brain cells left. I think it's the suit. It makes me look smart, no? |

It will be designed for a specific purpose and will do it well. It will be more for servers. |

Ok, I got the QT SDK. Looks good and I like it, except I can't compile the projects to an exe. It's a bit overwhelming and I'm still trying to figure it all out and reading the docs.
Anyone know how to make an exe in QT? Enlighten me please. :) |

Anyone know how to make an exe in QT? Enlighten me please. :) it always creates a .exe that is executed when you run the app from Qt Creator. I haven't used it on windows but look in the debug folder. if not http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2034465/how-to-make-exe-in-qt |

I'll look for something else. did you use the play button? If so it created an exe |

It doesn't make a usable exe. Programs run fine in QT, but not stand alone

Well, it's not the prettiest thing, but I think I found what I was looking for, Quincy 2005. I just downloaded it and am playing with it now. Hopefully it works out. We'll see...

Quincy and FLTK are not working out for me, and FLTK is over complicated. What I'm going to do is stick with Dev C++ and create my own Visual GUI Builder for c/c++.
You know what they say. If yo can't find what you need, make it yourself. Something like that anyway. |
