I would argue your use of the term "must." There is no "must" to it. Some men do it, some don't. There is no gender-specific behavioral requirement. If you're having a problem with a specific individual, or a series of specific individuals, I would ask you to keep in mind that those experiences in no way create a universal condition that encompasses all men.
Maybe you've had bad luck. Maybe you've made some bad choices as to who to become involved with. I don't know. Frankly, it's none of my business. But before you go painting all men with a broad and slanderous brush, I'd ask you to keep in mind that men have the right to be individuals -- and to be perceived as individuals. If you lump everyone into "why must men....?" you could miss out on some really great people. |
