Holder is Making Sure the Fix is in
With just three short months until our Presidential election, Eric Holder, the head of the Department of Justice, is scheming to ensure the fraudulent vote is overwhelmingly democrat. Since all of the illegal citizens, felons, and even dead people made their way to the polls in 2008, states have made a push for a fair election by passing Voter ID laws throughout the country. Holder is going after these states individually by playing the "race" card to say these laws only hurt minorities. Voter ID laws are a simple way to prevent a large number of voter fraud. You are voting for the President of the United States of America; all this law does is make you prove you are who you say you are. Over 30 states have such laws; some require a photo ID, some require 2 forms of written ID. Each state will make perfectly clear what they require and if you do not have what they require they will help you obtain it. These forms of Identification are examples that are acceptable in States with Voter ID Laws: Driver's License ID Card issued by the DMV U.S Passport Paycheck Student ID Military ID Neighborhood Association ID Retirement Association ID Social Security Card Fed. Or State Gov. issued ID card Credit Card Everyone in the United States should have at least 1 of these forms of identification. If not, the state will help you obtain one. You need a form of picture ID to buy tobacco products, buy alcohol, fly on a plane, cash a check, buy a gun, drive a car, use your credit card, and to work at the Justice Department. But not to vote for the President of the United States? Holder is the one discriminating; according to him minorities do not drive, fly, cash checks, buy guns, have credit cards, buy tobacco products, or buy alcohol?! Some states created certain voter's rights acts during the civil rights movement to protect minority's right to vote. Holder is now distorting these laws saying they are the reason these Voter ID laws should be forbidden. In South Carolina Holder blocked their Voter ID law proposal based on the 1965 Voting Rights Act which outlawed discriminatory practices that prevent blacks from voting. Ironic thing is the Governor of South Carolina, Nikki Haley, is a minority who supports these ID laws. Holder recently tried to block a portion of the law in FL but this state would not have it; they lawyered up and the DOJ backed off. Holder has blocked Texas' push for an ID law, he's gone after Ohio's ID law, and he will move state to state if we do not stop him. All we want is a fair election; we know we can win under equal circumstances. Obama has not done everything he wants because he has had a re-election to worry about. If he squirms his way back into office he will have no conscience for the next four years. He will drive this country and economy even deeper into the ground until it's nearly impossible to fix. Obama has been openly against Voter ID Laws because he knows how many fraudulent votes he acquired in 2008. If dead people, convicted felons, fictional citizens, or illegal aliens don't vote for Obama, who would? Holder and the DOJ do not support 1 PERSON 1 VOTE, they are overstepping their power squashing our state's rights. We can't afford four more years of Obama! Defend America, Alan M. I have no problem with Voter Id laws in concept other than the money they cost. The real problem is that from those tat have studied them, they do next to nothing to actually prevent voter fraud. Fake id's and the like are simply to readily available. Consequently they have a far greater effect on legitimate voters.
(Now to PO a few people) Personally, I think if you forget or don't have your id when you go to vote and your state has voter id laws, well then you're not very smart and I'd rather you didn't vote anyway. Hence the reason I have no issue with the laws. Just a bad time to be spending more money. |

But Black Panthers posted at poling places is ok with Holder. He won't condemn or investigate that little sweetheart, but god damn you if you ask for ID to vote LOL Do you guys really believe the nonsense coming out of either party leaders or biased media reports (left or right)? Yes Holder and/or Obama could have decided to GO BACK and change what the Bush administration choose to do (yes, check your facts both decisions were made before Obama took office). If I believed that nonsense I'd be forced to accept the democrat complaints about presumed left wing voter being denied the right to vote in Arizona. I am not dismissing either problem both are serious. But the facts around incidences like this have been so distorted for political agenda's that it's just ludicrous to buy into either parties BS. Frankly if you do buy into it (from either side), I hope your state does have Voter Id laws and you forget your id, we don't need your vote. |

Voter fraud isn't the largest issue with the election process. As a matter of fact, Voter fraud would barely qualify as a rounding error. Mainstream Media and who buys the elections. For the former, we tossed all Tel-Lie-Vision programming out the window and have saved nearly a thousand dollars already. For the latter, eventually, the rest of you will.

Voter fraud isn't the largest issue with the election process. As a matter of fact, Voter fraud would barely qualify as a rounding error. Mainstream Media and who buys the elections. Gotta agree with you there... well mainstream media and those who spend the media dollars to buy votes indirectly. For the former, we tossed all Tel-Lie-Vision programming out the window and have saved nearly a thousand dollars already. For the latter, eventually, the rest of you will.
Who's "we"? We I was speaking about my immediate family. We, however are not alone. CNN viewership is down 50%, and even fox took a 17% hit. In our neighborhood, most do not watch television, at all. |

I gave up on media as a valid source for facts a long long time ago so I do understand what you're saying. |

I dumped tv about 6 months ago. I sure miss Jerry Springer and Turtle Man. I had no television of any kind after the switch to the supposedly better digital TV. Stayed that way for nearly two years, and probably still would but there are others effected now. I agreed to a digital "over the air" box, but no way I'm paying for cable or any other monthly TV bill. |
