Ive been getting these for a long time...

"This program is unresponsive, would you like to kill or wait for it."

"Shockwave Flash has crashed."

"Awwwwwwwwwe Snap!"

Usually my computer gets really slow or starts to lock up, just before these start coming,

so I went online and looked up the Geeks.

They said that I may have 2 opposing Shockwave Flashes, and to try to go to my plug-ins, enable and disable them, boggle them, to try to fix the problem

...I HAVE 3 SHOCKWAVE FLASHES in my plug-ins!

Now what?

They also suggested redownloading Chrome. I did, still doing it.

They then suggested that I go to a flash site, as incognito, therefore turning my apps off, and see if that would work. It didnt.

The Geeks are just that, Geeks!laugh laugh JK.

TOTAGE!

Your the man!

What would you suggest I do??

I figured it out.

I unistalled the third Shockwave flash, and updated the other 2,(one is built into Chrome) and enabled the newest built into Chrome version, and so far, so good.

But thanks Totage, because when I reach wits end, I NEED YOU!flowerforyou

Is this something the occurs on just one website or on everything? If so, it's probably an issue on their end.

If not,

Uninstall ALL Shockwave by going to Windows Control Panel, Programs (Add/Remove) and uninstall all Shockwave.

Reboot.

Get the latest Shockwave.

Reboot.

Upgrade and update your browser.

Still no go?

Download the latest version of your browser.

Uninstall current browser, reboot, then install new version.

Upgrading your RAM may also help.

Well I actually found ANOTHER Flash in my plugins, and disabled it, and other than a few momentary lock ups, it appears to be pretty good, although I did get the message still a few times/

I did some of what you said.

I updated and redownloaded the browser and the Shockwave Flash, and even my Adobe stuff.

But I will try it the way you said, because I didnt do all of that in that sequence, and then I should be good to go.

Ive at least, at this point, got it 1000 times better than it was.

Thanks Totage.flowerforyou

And yeah, im needing more ram because I also get the high memory usage message too, and I can easily put more ram in my computer, its older, but its not THAT old.

This is a known issue in Google Chrome. Switch to FireFox and you shouldn't have as many issues.

I would also do a thorough scan for viruses / adware / malware and go ahead and do a disk defrag while you are at it.

How old is it?
Bout 10 years old.blushing

But now since I did all that stuff yesterday, (Oh and BTW I found a 4th Flash in my plug-ins, which I got rid of), my computer is like brand new.

I also went through and deleted any un-needed crap, pictures, ect, emptied the Recycle, and ran all my Virus and Malware protection,(it found nothing, so thats good) did a disc cleanup, Uninstalled and Reinstalled Chrome, and my Flash crap, so its all the newest, and did any Updates that it didnt notify me of, disk cleanup,

I also emptied all of my browser crap since the beginning of time, on both Internet Explorer, AND Google, Defragged,(I do all that pretty much every day)..

so I did a considerable amount of stuff, and it really paid off. No lock ups, its fast, and no messages....yet!(Lets keep our fingers crossed).

Great. Keep your computer up to date. You still may want to upgrade your RAM, maybe even HDD. But, being that it's 10 years old (which is pretty ancient when it comes to computers), you may be better off just buying a newer system.

Doing this right now! *fingers crossed*

It just makes Wetopia really frustrating to play. And im playing it for charity is the only reason. But when its locking up, and throwing error messages left and right, it makes it a biotch to play.

If this doesnt work, ill know for sure, its just the site.

Thanks totage!flowerforyou
