yea i can see that. My grandma likes to spoil me even when i dont want her to. She spoils me more than she spoils my younger cousin. But the family believes that its because she's trying to put me and my cousin on a level playing field since my cousin is spoiled by everyone heavily. And I dont have the lifestyle she lives...never have.

My grandpa and I were the closest out of all the family, partly because he lived by us, but I had two brothers and they didn't spend time with him and we just grew close. He was lonely and I was too. He used to let me have free reign of his house, I could cook anything in his kitchen, etc., as long as I cleaned up the mess, things like that, my mom would never do. We had a special closeness, I had an unspoken feeling of acceptance from him that I never got from anyone else, especially not my parents, so I do think grandparents are important. I feel bad for people who don't have any, or have ones that aren't able to be there for their grandkids because of alcohol or mental health issues.

Sitting on my front porch on my property upstate, just relaxing having my cup of tea...reading my magazine or a newspaper...

Just taking it all in....my slice of heaven.
