If a tree falls and no one sees it, why are you talking to me?

I guess what I'm trying to say is, your profile is your first impression to others. Whether or not you are a good speller, you should spell check. I look at the pitchers. If'n they is hot pitcters then I reed ta' see if'n we's kin git to gether. Pitchers r wurth more then wurds anyways. |

Have a great evening. |

I won't even bother with profiles where it looks like someone rolled their forehead all over the keyboard and called it good. I also tend to get really annoyed by messages sent to me in the exact same way. If you have no interest in making yourself understood, then I have no interest in trying to make sense of any of it.

As far as spelling goes as long as I can decipher what they are saying then what is the big issue about..To me if ones judge others totally on how they spell they will miss out on who that person really is. I have known those with a much higher education then me that spelling is not their best asset so what they can't spell good... It does not make them any less of a person.. And sure the heck does not mean that those that spell better is better then they are... |

There's nothing wrong with wanting to be able to read other people's writing easily, though. And of course people who don't speak English as well will use spell check. I work for an international company. English is not everyone's first language and most people absolutely use spell check. Why wouldn't they? |

If you think someone is a snob because they want to be able to understand what someone else is saying, have at it. You just said that you choose to use punctuation sometimes and don't at times. That is your choice to make what you're writing harder to read. Of course, that is a choice that is yours to make.
I can't speak for others, but I don't think I'm better than anyone else. I just prefer to be able to understand what people are saying. You talk about respect, but calling others snobs isn't very respectful either. So anyway, write however you want. Just don't get upset when others choose not to read it if it's tough to follow. |

i can't believe people actually read those three page run-on sentences. D: |

Think they're snobs if you want. What typos do I need to fix? I was just going by what you said and what I could understand from it. |

I just wanted to find out everyones' opinion when viewing someone's profile and there are multiple misspelled words, especially when their profession says something like "civil engineer" or "government" etc. You would think they should of a higher education caliber. Poor choice of profession to quote, Tami-Tami. Engineers are incredibly infamous for their inability to spell. In fact, there is a standing joke, "When I first went to university, I did not know how to spell 'engineer', and now I are one." My brother has a masters of engineering degree and he makes seven spelling mistakes in every sentence he utters in conversations on the phone. |

its ok my friend have a good day :) i kind of tired about all this lolllll Then don't get so defensive. No one singled you out. You singled yourself out. Type the way you want to type. We all have different preferences. If you make it hard to read on purpose, by choosing not to use punctuation, that is your choice and no one else's. |

Seems like everyone except you even get the point I was trying to make. In corresponding via text, email, chat etc, sure, we all make spelling errors. Although I do try not to, but sometimes my fingers hit the wrong key and I hit send before I notice it. I was saying, in your profile, where you have the time to get it right, you should. This is MY opinion, and only an opinion, which everyone is entitled to theirs. I also hate messages with no punctuation. Again, my opinion. |
