If someone is trying to kill you, why shouldn't you have the right to kill them? Sometimes the only effective response is deadly force. I think most people are stable, it's a small minority of people who actually want to kill another person.



If Zimmerman is telling the truth, then it could have been avoided by Trayvon not attacking him.

We still have to hear what Trayvon had on his person and what the police found when/if they checked Trayvon's room. It's possible that Trayvon was the burglar that had been haunting that neighborhood. Not all racially divisive slayings are the same. I suspect social media and possibly even some side effects of occupy may play a role here. Activism is evolving, and while race riots may not be a goal of most activists, it could be an unintended consequence.

I do think that level of attention we are all paying to this situation is motivating them to press charges they would not have otherwise pressed... whether its 'fear of race riots' or otherwise.

I understand the technicalities of the justice system and how easy it is to 'loose' a defendant if charged too quickly,,,Im hoping they were taking the time to dot their i's and cross their t's

but, I must admit, my knowledge about his father being a judge and the original request for a WARRANT being squashed,,,leave open the possibility that it could have been successfully brushed under the rug if not given the attention it was,,,,

Where's the civility? Zimmerman was arrested and charged yet you have this happening. How long will things like this go on?

Have you seen George Zimmerman? Does he look like his mother is a "white Peruvian" to you? She is a native Peruvian, which means she is possibly a mix of South American Indian and Spanish.

I see the racist trash talk out there on the internet "Zimmerman is white or Jewish" as if his race determines his guilt. Race only matters to racists. How about we ignore the race and focus on the truth? Make Zimmerman and Trayvon both white or black, do you feel the same way? If not, then you are a racist.
