Knowing how to lie requires first knowing how to not.

If you tell a lie, knowing it is a lie, you are a liar.
If you repeat a lie, thinking and believing that it is true, you could probably pass a lie detector test. A liar creates a lie knowingly. But people spread lies unknowingly. A spreader of lies is worse than a liar because people are more likely to believe them because they sound sincere. I mostly agree with this, aside from a couple of minor things which do not seem to take away from the overall feel, but rather clarify it a little. Liars are people too, and they can also sound sincere. |

But knowing the difference is the only way you can understand a 'lie'... If you have not felt the depths you can not know the darkness and so aid one to life. If you know only light you can not see the darkness (nor understand one who is in it). If you know only the darkness the light is blinding and so you can not understand one who is in it (for you can not see them clearly) but to be honest there is no "requirement" for u to have any knowledge of what a lie "is"; becuz u only speak "truth", thus "lying" would be alien to u same goes for the opposite on the same stone if all u know is darkness, the "light" is alien, and would need explanations as to what it is; however, by your own example "only know the darkness" strengthens my own words, if you only know "this" than "that" must first be defined eg you know darkness first off, first hand, the light is unknown becuz u've never done/experienced it you stated u r but also know not ur opposite to be one u do not need to know the other to be what u r To be balanced within reality you must understand both... Else you stumble about as one that is blind when you encounter 'otherness'. |

let me put it this way. Yr friends fiance cheatd on her only once . . . And he confesses in front o u that it was a big mirtake aftral . Poor fellow promises it wont happen again. He also begs u to lie to her. But u are such an honest person that u told her the truth. . Girl gets psychd . Kills herself. This makes the guy freak out and ends up in a mental asylum. . . Moral. . . Liers are humble honest people. . . :p. . .

honesty is a human nature as abstinence is a sexual position. . . . . So, you admit it? "Masturbation" is, no matter how you sit/stand, is a sexual position. So, thank you for agreeing. :P |

Moral. . . Liers are humble honest people. . . :p. . . Your story makes absolutely no sense to your "point". Moral: "Liars are humble, honest people." However, your story contradicts the moral. The liar, lied, and to boot tried to have others back his lie. The "honest" person, Debbie in this story, is told to lie, but then decides not to and reveals the ploy. The honest person was honest. ..and all this after "honesty is nature--" etc, etc. Yet proved its validity. Awesome job. I don't even have to debate it with you. |

Knowing the difference between truth and lies is a different dispostion from being an honest person. Therefore, honesty is not a prerequisite to knowing the difference between truth and lies. You can only know if someone is liyinh if you know the truth, and if possible can prove it.

People lie because they think other people can't handle the truth.
Do you want to know the truth no matter how horrible it is? Can you handle the truth? |
