Do you think people are capable of staying faithful? Is one gender known to cheat more? What makes us cheat? would you forgive a cheater? Yep absolutely re serious consequences if no discussion. I'm all about clearly stating (early on) about what I require from a person I'm involved with so that there are no misunderstandings further down the line 
I always remember what a Director of HR once said to me...no surprises..be clear about what you want from the outset. Someone once told me "You lost the entitlement to being understood without words the minute you learned to speak!"... ;) |

Yep absolutely re serious consequences if no discussion. I'm all about clearly stating (early on) about what I require from a person I'm involved with so that there are no misunderstandings further down the line

Shouldn't you define what cheating is for you and your partner, first of all? *Sighs* One of my biggest problems in a relationship... Yes, because I know a lot of guys who think sexting is not cheating. interesting, for me sexting is not cheating, its scandalous and its insulting but not cheating cheating are the things that have potential to bring me a disease or create another life (and even condoms arent 100 percent safe, so cheating still has the potential to bring disease , even if protection is used) |

No god makes a person faithful or unfaithful, they will be such no matter what.
If a person has it in their mind that they are going to be faithful and forthright in the relationship, it will be a faithful situation from that person's side. |

I kind of put that and sexting, cyber sex, phone sex,,etc,,,,all in the same boat of 'fantasy' |

I'm not sure about the porn. I think it's direspectful if one partner has a bunch of videos and naked pictures of the other partner to use instead of porn and yet still chooses to use porn. That's pretty rude. But I think the actual watching of porn isn't cheating. Because people can dream about another person or fantasize and then in that case everyone would cheat weekly. But IMO I'd have to say anything that you can't tell your partner and that you feel you need to hide so u won't get caught is most likely a form of cheating. So if someone's watching porn and hiding or lieing then I'd consider it cheating for sure because its leading to being unfaithful and trust issues will develop. Had this problem with a serious ex of mine. Never got resolved because he never came clean or kept his word an I never felt good about him using porn so excessively and hiding it when it wudnt of been a problem of he had been honest and when he had my material to use instead.
