I looked on settings and there is no way to enable IM/Chat....

Hi beauty1class, It looks like your IM feature is on. If you are looking at another member's profile and you don't see the button (under the main picture) then they probably don't have their IM feature turned on. Both members have to have the feature enabled to be able to IM with each other. Hope this helps, Kim

I should also add, if the member is in 'stealth mode' whether the instant messenger is enabled or not, The IM button will not appear on their profile. Members in stealth mode may be able to initiate an IM conversation, but will not see any incoming IM requests, simply because the option will not appear on your (that) profile, if the person uses stealth mode.
